Jerome Is Back From The Dead In The Promo For The Second Half Of GOTHAM Season 3

Is Jerome a younger incarnation of The Joker? That theory seemed to be debunked when the character was killed off, but it looks like the smiling psychopath is set to make his return to Gotham next year.

Following tonight's midseason finale of Gotham, Fox has released a teaser for the brand new episode that'll air in January. In it we see that the long-awaited return of Cameron Monaghan's Jerome is on the cards - although we still have no idea how the character will be resurrected after being murdered by Theo Galavan back in season 2.

Jerome was believed by many to be the "Proto Joker" leading up to his demise, and his imminent return is certain to reignite those theories. What do you guys think?

Gotham's "Mad City" arc continues in the new year.

This trailer presents absolutely nothing that confirms his return. If anything, this will be the cops discovering that a new psychopath has taken his image and is using his video to spread fear and madness throughout the city.

If anything the Joker is becoming some kind of cultist group now, him as the unknowing founder and many 'preaching the name of Joker'

This is better than anything Jared Leto did or could do as The Joker...

@KWilly - On paper, this scene is boilerplate Joker, eyerollingly so. His performance sells the whole thing.

@MrAisA - Boilerplate or not...that was dope. Committed gravitas.

That kid's going places.

@Robby - Can he say "Hunka Hunka?" That whole scene kind of played a part in the ruination of that film for me. I am also extremely excited for the DCEU but that was one messy film.
