After an eventful hour that saw the returns of Cat Grant, President Marsdin, and Lillian Luthor, it was Superman who ended up stealing the show when he made a shocking return in the installment's closing seconds as it was revealed that the Queen Rhea somehow managed to get the Man of Steel under her wicked spell, which can only mean nothing good lies ahead for Supergirl next week.

The season finale will finally see Kara and Rhea face-off in a battle to end all battles and if that wasn't enought, it will also feature the arrival of General Zod and based on the extended promo, it looks like we'll almost definitely get a chance to hear him recite one of his most famous lines.

Check out the new extended promo for the season two finale, titled "Nevertheless, She Persisted" below:

Terrible episode why is everything so political. Even the title "resist" Why can't we just watch TV without any political views. Cat mentioned when she seen the president in alien form "I hope she's a Democrat" and mention the aliens want to " make the earth great again" referring to Trumps monologues. Hollywood please Just entertain us without the your political views

@kanjar210 - Irony in that Trump wants to make America great again BECAUSE of "aliens".

Failed analogy is a failed analogy, CW.

Even if he is just an illusion I am digging already Mark Gibbons's take on Zod, the voice sounds good.

Supergirl vs Superman looks to be in the same vein as last year when she fought her sister.

The ep was good and cohesive, from the action to the non ones.

Wonder who will turn out to be the villain that will get a glimpse for S3 at the end next week.

@NinnesMBC - Based solely on this clip, Gibbons does not impress me.
