After a relatively lengthy hiatus, DC TV's most acclaimed CW series Superman & Lois is finally back, and based on last week's premiere, it sounds like things are about to spin seriously out of control as the closing moments seemingly teased the impending arrival of one of Superman's most formidable foes: Doomsday.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Todd Helbing confirmed while teasing, "That is our homage to a classic Doomsday cover. Then in episode 2, you're going to see him a little bit more. In episode 3, you'll get the full reveal."

Meanwhile, both DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman returned with big installments of their own, and this week's new chapters are shaping up to quite eventful with the former seeing the Legends trapped in a reality show while the latter will finally introduce the original Poison Ivy (Bridget Regan).

Then, on the CW's newest DC TV series Naomi, get ready to dig deeper into the mystery surrounding unexplained occurrences in Port Oswego. Plus, get ready for even more awesomeness from this week's episode of Peacemaker

The season 2 premiere of Superman & Lois was excellent. I'm so happy it's back.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Let me know how you feel after season 4. Although I'm cautiously optimistic as this is not a "CW" show.

Superman & Lois :
Off to a good start, setting up multiple potentially interesting storyline. Excited for Doomsday, but honestly I'm more interested in the Supermen Of America.

Hope they don't turn Doomsday into a werewolf type again, keep him a looming threat, maybe a tool of a greater villain.

Legends Of Tomorrow :
Probably the current best of the pre crisis Arrowverse shows still airing, but really might be time to end it, show has gotten too goofy. its fun 7 out of 10 times they focus so much on the comedy now that it undercuts the threats and character development.

Batwoman :
Maybe ill just rewatch Gotham to get my bat fix.

Naomi :
Off to a decent start, better than I expected based on trailers. Not sure if ill stick with it long, will watch a few more episodes though before I decide. For now it has my curiosity

I LOVE how both season openers for superman felt like a movie. The fx are so good for a cw show.

Not surprised it was Doosmday, just surprised how early he is being introduced. Well, I guess I'm not that surprised, just seems pretty early in the show's run. Still not a fan of the blue and sepia filters, but the wholesome family narrative makes it a tolerable tradeoff for me.

Legends of Tomorrow was a carbon copy of GI Joe cartoons that I had the urge to eat Lucky Charms while watching it.

Naomi was a decent start. Not particularly exciting but just interesting enough to be curious what the next episode is about. Of course completely hated the Bendis-Speak Montage. That quick burst of lines from a dozen random background characters.

Now where is that Moon Knight trailer?

Only DC show I'm watching right now is Superman & Lois. It was a good premiere, strong as always. Excited to see where they take things, especially with Doomsday arriving. Curious to see who the other villains this season will be. This was my favorite comic book show of last year, and second favorite show overall of last year, so very excited that it has returned!

I'll get to Peacemaker at some point. I wanted to rewatch TSS first before that.

Is the recent Legends season worth getting caught up on? I lost total interest in the show last season, so if the current season is better than the previous one, and more akin to seasons 2 and 3, maybe I'll give it a watch.

@HeavyMetal4Life - It's still campy nonsense, but it's definitely lost a step since Routh left. I still like it, but I'm not exactly a great gauge for quality.

@Reeds2Much - ha ok. Well, if its more of the same and not an improvement over last season, then I'll take a pass. Even the 100th episode with returning characters like Routh isn't enough to bring me back for the season.

This site seldom talks about Superman and Lois which is a shame really cause it's amazing and the most comic accurate Superman has been. Im fine with WB never making a Superman movie as long as they keep up the quality of this show. Hope the Doomsday plot doesnt take away too much from the wonderful family dynamic the Kents and Cushings have. it's really refreshing and wholesome to see Clark be the compassionate father who also has the weight of the world on his shoulders.

the moment superman saved the North Korean Submarine and get questioned by the new DEO about his loyalty is the best I have ever seen.

Gotta agree with most that Superman and Lois is definitely the best of the bunch and its return was certainly welcome. And yes I also agree that Legends has gotten a bit too crazy the past two seasons, sometimes to good effect but it would be nice to have it go back to its fundamentals of earlier seasons. Batwoman definitely is disappointing and I'm one who has given it the benefit of the doubt when most others have just written it off. It has/had potential but the writing is just not there, although it is nice to see Nicole Kang's character of Mary get to turn to the dark side for a bit. I kind of like her that way. Naomi was a bit of a surprise as in it was better than I thought it would be and I was very impressed with the acting of the lead. Still early but this might just turn out to be a bit of a sleeper hit. As with all things time will tell.

Are they doing another superman inspired villain army for this season just like the last. Hope they change it up a bit otherwise it'll get less interesting moving forward. This is what happened to most of the CW shows. Not knowing when to stop

Bye bye Anderson and the kids. Doomsday is going to rip right through them. I just hope Doomsday looks like Doomsday and not the live-action abominations that came before.

Also really curious to see if they actually kill Superman a year into the show.
