The Flash returns to The CW on October 8th, and the network has today released a brand new gallery of images from the premiere. As well as offering a hi-res, detailed look at the Scarlet Speedster's updated, comic accurate costume, we also get to see a meeting between the hero and The Monitor as the road to "Crisis on Infinite Earths" begins.
That suit is much better than the one we saw in season five, and it's no wonder it's been changed as the reaction from fans of the show was overwhelmingly negative across the board. This version, however, is clearly based on what Barry Allen donned during "The New 52" era of storytelling.
The synopsis for "Into The Void" teases what comes next for the Fastest Man Alive:
Team Flash spent the last year dealing with not one but two Cicadas, the return of Eobard Thawne (a.k.a. Reverse Flash), and the surprise arrival from the future of Barry and Iris’s daughter Nora West-Allen, (a.k.a. XS). The stakes were higher than ever during the season 5 finale, which culminated in Barry and Iris losing their daughter after only just getting to know her. How will they deal with saying goodbye to their speedster daughter, and what does Thawne’s escape mean for Team Flash?
