New MINORITY REPORT Poster Pays Homage To The Original Tom Cruise Film

Fox has released a futuristic-looking new poster for their upcoming sci-fi drama Minority Report and it bears a slight resemblance to one of the posters used for the 2002 Tom Cruise movie.

For comparison's sake, here's the original poster for the 2002 Steven Spielberg film that starred Tom Cruise:

Set in 2065 Washington, D.C., (fifteen years after the events of the 2002 film), the series will follow Dash, a Precog, who has the ability to predict crimes. Unfortunately, the Pre-Crime Unit was dismantled in 2050, forcing law enforcement to rely on newer methods to fight crime. Before it was dismantled, Dash, his twin brother Arthur and their foster sister Agatha were part of the program that gave them their unique gifts. Now, Dash is using his ability to assist Detective Lara Vega in preventing crimes, at the same time seeking out his missing twin and trying to keep his gift from being revealed, as there are those who want to obtain the precogs at any cost.

Minority Report features:
Stark Sands as Dash
Meagan Good as Lara Vega
Nick Zano as Arthur
Wilmer Valderrama as Will Blake
Laura Regan as Agatha
Daniel London as Wally
Li Jun Li as Akeela

Minority Report premieres September 21

@DrDoom
Isn't it comforting knowing that the next few days will show the failure of Fant4stic at the box office, but we'll have news we actually care about to read?

One of the few Tom Cruise movies I actually like. Show looks low budget though.

This TV series is 13 years too late...

If they wanted to do a Minority Report TV show, they should've done it a couple years after the movie was released. You have to strike while the iron is hot.

I don't think this will be as big of a ratings grabber as FOX wants it to be.

this sounds soooooo uninteresting. The movie was great, not much more to do with it until it becomes a dull crime drama....AND its on fox?! hahaha ohhhh my

I am definitely going to watch this show.
People are thinking too small. Remember the tv series Total Recall?
It wasn't just about Total Recall. It was a live action universe for all of PKD's ideas. That could happen again here.
They could draw from Bladerunner, A Scanner Darkly, Total Recall, Paycheck, Impostor, Next, etc.

Homage? Or probably hoping to cash in on the mediocre movie that looks better than the show

@Crabnado
That show was fantastic!
IMO they killed that project the moment they titled it.
I lost count of the number of people who said they ignored it because they confused it with Being Human.
