Before The X-Files returns with 6 brand new episodes, creator Chris Carter will bring his cast (and hopefully some footage) to San Diego Comic Con next week. Plot details have been under wraps, but EW were able to find out a few very interesting tidbits from their visit to the Vancouver set. When we last saw Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) at the end of 2008's I want To Believe, the on-again-off-again lovers had put their paranormal detecting behind them - but obviously something drags them back in.
As it turns out, that something is "the "curious case of a possible alien abductee (played by Annet Mahendru of The Americans)" who the pair investigate "at the behest of a most curious ally, the host of a conservative talk show (Community’s Joel McHale)."
