Game of Thrones once again outdone itself with arguably its finest hour of the season tonight as the Lannisters were formally introduced to Daenerys Targaryen and her Dothraki army.

The episode ended with a fiery battle as
Drogon laid waste on the combined Lannister & Tarly forces while the Dothraki took out whoever was left, save for a couple key characters, including both Jaime and Bronn. With his forces depleted by hour's end, Jaime made a last ditch effort to take out the Dragon Queen while her defenses were seemingly down. However, as fate would have it, his attempt was thwarted by the grounded Drogon, who sent out a vicious fire ball that would've surely taken him out if Bronn didn't dive in to save his life at the last second.

Meanwhile, back in Winterfell, Arya Stark made her way home and reunited with both Sansa and Bran. She even got into a friendly training session with Brienne where she was able to show off some of what she's learned over the past six seasons.

Check out the new promo for episode five, titled "Eastwatch," below:

Episode #65: "Eastwatch"

Debut: SUNDAY, AUGUST 13 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

Directed by Matt Shakman.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne continues.

It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all play the 'Game of Thrones.'

An original series based on George R.R. Martin's best-selling 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series.

Game of Thrones returns with an all-new episode August 13

@IDKwhatToChoose - Jon and Dany banged in the dragon glass cave. As brann watched with his three eyed raven powers. We also learned that he will never walk again, but he will fly, and get erections....

Warning!!!!!!

I thought they were going to kill Drogan, damn glad they didn't. Jamie needs to take a lesson from Theon, run away and live to fight another day man. Bronn to the rescue there, but damn dude. LittleFinger being shown next to the raven coups has to mean he is up to something. Arya fighting/sparring Breanne was cool to watch. Watching Drogan destroying the Lannister army was fantastic, and Jamie's emotions seeing his men turned to ash was terrific acting, well done. Is it Sunday yet??????

@TheBeard - I'm glad they didnt either but it leaves em to think that one of her other Dragons is going to die. I don't want any of them to die but you know what GOT does to those we love...
