GAME OF THRONES: Lena Headey May Have Dropped A Massive Season Finale SPOILER

Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister in the show, is a fan of posting images to her Instagram account -- many of which tease some upcoming plot points. Click on to see how she spoiled Sunday's ep 2 months back, and her latest pic which could hint at...well, you'll have to see for yourselves!

Lena Headey enjoys posting Game Of Thrones spoilers before anyone who hasn't read the books is aware that they are actually being spoiled! Take the below image from a couple of months ago:

Obviously we now know that she was foreshadowing the gruesome fate of Oberyn Martell in this past Sunday's ep, but to the casual fan it just looks like Headey is having some fun with actor Pedro Pascal. But this next pic may hint at something even book readers weren't certain we'd see this season...if at all! The resurrection of Catelyn Stark as Lady Stoneheart.

Yes, in the novels Cat is returned to life by Thoros of Myr in much the same way he continuously reanimates Lord Beric Dondarrion -- though Catlyn's body is so long dead that in order to bring her back, Beric must sacrifice himself once and for all. Cat then takes over leadership of the Brotherhood Without Banners, calling herself Lady Stoneheart and swearing vengeance against those who had any part at all in the "red wedding". It's a particularly controversial plot point in George R.R. Martin's novels (which quite a lot of fans aren't particularly fond of), so many had wondered when and if we'd see her appearance on the show. If Headey's pic is anything to go by it could well be in the upcoming season 4 finale.

Yuck. I knew Stoneheart was coming back, now they will have to make the ugliest actress on Game of Thrones even uglier.

But how 'bout them Missandei nude shots. eh?

Lady Stoneheart was a huge reveal in the books...it makes perfect sense to have her appearance be the last scene of the season. Where else would Brienne's journey lead?

Actually Michele Fairley has been working on another show for a while now. That coupled with the rumor that the showrunners were gonna do away with Stoneheart..and had Martin's blessing to do so..means it was never definite that she'd come back. But, Fairley doesn't actually have to play her wen you think about it!

Damn it. Felt it was one of those 'jump the shark' moments and hoped they didn't do it in the show. Here's the downside of book-to-show fidelity.

SPOILERS.......

It could be a heart for Tywin? You know since he's meeting his demise and is The Lord of Casterly ROCK? No?

@Shadowelfz

If they can have dragons, white walkers and zombies (i.e. things that don't actually exist and never have), they can have this bitch come back from the dead as well as Japanese tentacle rape monsters!

For the record, I love the plot point - its the biggest jaw dropping moment in all the books for me..

could mean that the mountain will die since it is a little pile of rocks.
you know, when a mountain crumbles the only thing that remains is a pile of rocks.
right?

Charlie2094 - I didn't click on the Instagram link before I posted that. I know it makes more sense for it to be for Lady Stoneheart, but on the off chance it's not, it's always fun to come up with other theories.

I kind of figured some people would be resurrected after the scene with the Whitewalker and the baby.
What I want- and I haven't read the books...but what I want is some of these outcasts/rebels to join Khaleesi and finally destroy the Lannisters. And I'm talking about Arya,John and Tyrion.

Mountain is dead. he was dying as he destroyed Oberyn. He fell dead after he finished. That really does look like stones in the shape of a heart thus....uh oh Is anyone really dead then? BRING BACK THE VIPER!!

@Baroness Dany isn't too fond of Starks. Remember first season? She considers them usurpers, also.

The would have cut the entire berric storyline if stone heart wasnt in the planning.

although, the actors playing berric, thoros and Cat do not appear on this years cast lists. Maybe we'll see them again next year...

Now we are going to get in a semantic argument about the word "dead"

The Mountain is dying and beyond saving. While they didn't really go into it too much, they hinted that the Viper fights with poisoned weapons. Every wound the mountain took meant more poison. One of my favorite parts of the book is describing the agony he is in as he is dying. So while he's not DEAD, he's not going to last long.

I didn't mind them bringing Kat back, especially the way they introduced her. To avoid revealing anything, I hope they do the scene just like the books.
