I understand some people enjoy 'GoT' but can we just for once get a series that isn't constantly trying to distract the fans with death or just sex. I mean I'm enjoying the development of the characters and hoping to see the fallout from all that's been set-up in the first four seasons, however whenever things start to get interesting we cut to a character messing around or having sex or just getting killed off.

As such I can never maintain a favourite character as they are always killed off, so I end-up caring little for any of them as i subconsciously prevent being attached to them encase they die. They've made a show that literally tries and reminds you every episode not to get attached to the characters and that's ruining the show for me.

I understand that the basic premise of 'GoT' is the rivalries and the murders, but at least give us something in-between that which isn't just padding about the mad king or walking from one area to another running into distractions along the way.

Anyway, rant over, just really disappointed as of series 4.

@Scarilian, I know man, lazy as frick. It is annoying when people think it is good writing to just kill a character for no reason other than shock value. Sure it keeps you watching, but only the same way that a trainwrack does. I'm not saying there is no good writing on GoT but the majority is just not creative. It is far more difficult to write a satisfying conclusion to a conflict without just going red wedding style and killing everyone. All deaths for nothing but shock value as it did little to nothing to actually further the story. Except Papa Lannister and Geoffrey, those dude's had to go.
