GAME OF THRONES: Pics Of 'Cersei' Undertaking Her "Walk" Have Surfaced
We won't get too far into SPOILER territory until after the jump, but if you click on you'll see snaps from today's Game Of Thrones season 5 filming in Dubrovnik, where a very significant scene involving Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) was being shot.
Before we go any further, the following pics are pretty much SFW (no, you don't get to see a naked Lena Headey...sorry!) as some very tight security measures prevented any major photo leaks. But, we do have a glimpse of the actress as Cersei Lannister in the middle of her "Walk of Shame" from the books. Fans wondered if the show would deviate from the source material in any way here, but as you can see the character's blonde locks have been almost completely shorn, and she looks to be in a pretty bad way after suffering the ire of the King's Landing mob. In the first image you'll see director David Nutter in blue, and since he's set to direct the last two eps of season 5, we can deduce that the Walk will happen in one of them. In the book this is a particularly cruel and powerful moment -- even though the recipient of the punishment is the pretty despicable Cersei -- so it'll be interesting to see how it transfers to the show, as TV Cersei is arguably a lot more sympathetic than she is in the Song Of Ice And Fire saga.
