In the wake of the Red Wedding, how does the North pick up the pieces and with their greatest enemy seemingly crushed, where does that leave the Lannisters. Daenerys Targaryen now has an army but is she ready to take back her homeland. Does Jon Snow turn south to seek revenge or remember his duty along the Wall?

The upcoming season will mostly be based on the second half of the third book (A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold) in the George R.R. Martin series, meaning that we’re in store for another ten incredible episodes. Are you looking forward to the return of Game of Thrones? The small screen adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s series of novels returns to HBO on April 6th and will air just one night later in the UK on Sky Atlantic.

This show looks visually better than some recent films that have come out. What is its budget?

Game of Thrones is and will forever be the best thing on tv.

BB is a close second

True Detective is third.

Game of Thrones is the best, sorry but Breaking Bad is a close second for me, I just love the fantasy genre, especially when it's dark like it should be...Plus, (SPOILERS) the red wedding tops the shootout at the end of breaking bad in terms shit hitting the fan and game of thrones isn't even done yet.

Curb your Enthusiasm is for Jews that think nagging and complaining about life = comedy

It doesn't.

BB for amazing as it was, was ultimately a bunch of cliffhangers and breakfast. I'll never go back to watch that whole series again.

I've seen every episode of GoT 4 times though and will probably watch it again, and BB doesn't even compare in size, scope, stakes, character development and storytelling over all.

"Say my name" will never be as badass as "Dracaris"

McGee

House of Cards is brilliant but it's 4th to whats on right now. Love Kevin Spacey but it doesn't touch the top 3. It's 4th or 5th. Still respectable.

He needs a villain in season 3 though. A real threat because he's won everything fairly easy up to now. That's what the series is missing, plus all these other characters that don't end up to anything need to go.

That's where True Detective shines is keeping the story focused solely on the two detectives.

CAN'T WAIT!!!

By the way, I heard one or two non spoilerish things about Book 4 and 5 such as Sansa's position and Daenerys' situation... I can't wait. Anyway, seeing as how 4 and 5 take place a the same time, I predict they will mess them together as originally intended and devote 2 (or even 3) seasons to them. Then maybe two to Book 6 and two to Book 7. I really hope the Walker stuff and Winter get epic real soon.

@McGee

what does Marvel films have to do with this convo?

Honestly, I am more entertained by GoT and I enjoy it more than BB. Objectively, BB is better though I prefer GoT personally.

Also, a threat. He needs a threat, McGee. You know what I meant.

Do you reckon something like The Long Night will occur and a new war will erupt with all our characters, though separated, all fighting against the Walkers? I've also heard cool theories to the "Of Fire and Ice" title.

I only ever watch TV show episodes once. Watched one or two BB twice but yeah, never really a second time.

Remember in Season One where the nan mentioned to Bran the walkers came with white Spiders as big as hounds? My [frick]ing God do I want something like The Long Night to occur so we get a new war and all the characters realizing how a struggle for the Iron Throne is meaningless.

Yeah no denying Tusk was a great antagonist but you can tell Frank had him on the ropes most of the time.

He needs a real threat and maybe to be beat by the end of season 3. Still an excellent series though

I've also heard a ton of theories about Jon Snow. Honestly, if GRRM is still alive there is so much he could work on. A new series about Robert's Rebellion? The Andal invasion? The Targaryen conquest? Also heard a ton of weird theories about Bran.

McGee yeah I don't really have time for that anymore and I'm kinda bored with it really. Trolling isn't nearly as fun as it used to be on this site.

Do remember the troll badges? I used to start flame wars just to get those!

I just really want Tyrion to survive the series. Favorite character by far.

Imagine young, fit Robert Baratheon in silver armor with his yellow livery and a helmet with stag antlers vs the black armor clad, red livery sporting Rhaegar Targaryen with helmet adorned with the three heads of the dragon and it's wings. That would be epic.

@Ineed

I'd love it if when the Walker threat finally gains speeds we see the Stark children reunited with some other characters there as well... however knowing GRRM, all will die lol.

He probably will have a real villain and get impeached. That would a great ending to the series.

Something like Robert's Rebellion would probably only require two seasons only though if GRRM expanded on it. It would also show people how much a [foo foo] Gregor Clegane is... like right up with the likes of Joffrey and Ramsay. I also read up on Sansa's treatment in the books... unpleasant.

By the way, a bit of advise, if you know anything about Martell for this season based on what the producers have said in that 14 minutes special and you don't want to know anything, do not watch the expanded Lore and History where they talk about Robert's Rebellion. It wasn't even spoiled for me, I figure out exactly why Martell is here in this season and why he even fights you-know-who in the end.

I reckon people watched that they thought it would be one of those situation where it's all dramatic, the guy lifts up his sword, episodes ends, next one begins where last left off and Ned is then saved by something convenient... lol nope.

I love the different between the North and the South. When you see the Making Of they talking about all the culture and they they are so different... you could say it's a real... Stark contract (YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!)
