While Watchmen wasn't a huge hit at the box office - possibly down to the fact it was so expensive to make - it left all but creator Alan Moore and a few disgruntled fans satisfied with the adaptation they received courtesy of Man of Steel and 300 director Zack Snyder. Following the recent announcement that the comic book series will now receive a number of prequels featuring the various characters (entitled Before Watchmen) the speculation that we might see the likes of the Comedian back on the big screen have already begun and was recently addressed by actor Matthew Goode. It seems unlikely, but who knows what will happen if the comic book prequels are a big enough success?! Many thanks to Digital Spy for the following.

Whether Zack would be involved in it again I don't know, he's pretty busy. I'm quite excited to see what they come up with. In some senses, my character was the one character where everyone else gets a bigger chunk of back story. I'd quite like to know what was going on. See if I was right about some of the choices I made!"
