Wow... I personally have liked what I have seen of him in the clips and no offence to the actor I feel that he portrays an element of homosexuality that I felt was missing in the visual representation of Ozzy, but still I understand that he has been at the end of lots of negative press, but this is not the way to combat it

There are fans of this that are being totally moronic atm about squid and ozy. (but nothing about BF.. makes total sense to me =P)

He should chill out until the movie comes out though, I think there will be a warm welcome forthcoming for the movie and everyone involved once audiences are able to kick the reviewers and source nazi fanbois in the teeth.

LMAOO finally an actor with balls, i've said previously that i never seen heard of watchmen b4 but this movie looks kick ass from what i seen and i know fanboys want everything spot on but honestly it looks really [frick]ing good makes me wanna buy the comics so good for Matthew Goode saying what he said just watch the movie b4 you critique the potrayels unless it's dragonball cuz it just looks like crap lol.

Look just because a guy has "goode" hair, dresses magnificiently, like's cats, lives with 3 Man servants,Hang's out with David Bowie,Mick Jagger & the Village People at Studio 54, does Gymnastics, Has a line of Perfume, listens to electronic music, Wants to save the world & is Sneaky Dosen't make him a homosexual & Remember in the book (chapter 11, pg.10) when Veidt tells the story of how he followed the path of Alexander of Macedonia, then the last picture is him standing there naked?...yeah that's deffinitly NOT "gay", In fact Woman Love that type of Shit, Adrian Veidt is a suave, sophisticated ladies Man & a Playboy Billionaire, I'm guessing he slept with playboy-center fold's from '74 to 84,
and in Ozyman's defence, if and I mean IF, he slept with a man it was probably once...or twice & the guy probably looked like a younger Brad Pitt & it was probably at a group Orgy at David Bowie's house & Veidt was more than likely high on Cocaine, plus it was the 70's & 80's...You wouldn't call Bowie Queer, now would you?

What a juvenile outburst! Not quite as disgraceful as Bale's temper tantrum on the Terminator set, but still immature and unprofessional. The one who needs to "grow a dick" is Goode. He could also do with growing a pair to go with it. Doing a project like this, which is based upon a series of books regarded by many in its fanbase as the finest story in its genre, is going to inspire more passionate reaction from fans, especially the hardcore fans, than doing an ordinary movie. If Goode can't take a little criticism, he should find another line of work. Would he throw a hissy fit like this if it was professional movie critics dissing his performance? No, but these passionate fans aren't paid professional movie reviewers, so it's okay to hate on them. BS!!!!

That said, Ozy is supposed to be a bit effeminate, and Goode has that part of the character nailed. I'll reserve saying anything about his actual performance until I have seen the film, but if it sucks, I'm not going to sugarcoat my review because I might hurt his widdle feewings.

Crappy/Comic - ...but the guy does have a point (kinda'). Fanboys have been busting his balls since pretty much day one based solely on clips, pictures, rumors and hearsay. I imagine it can be pretty frustrating for an actor to hear all the smack-talk going on, and the film hasn't even been released yet! I for one am going to withhold judgement until AFTER I see the film (and re-reading the comic for the millionth time), THEN I will make a decision... Will I be disappointed? Maybe (there's only SO much one can cover in a film - look at the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy), but if it's obviously done with respect to the source material, then maybe I'll be willing to overlook certain omissions and oversights.

And I agree with alot of you, the guy does look like a douche, but lemme tell you why thats fine with me, because Veidt is an enormous douche. Every time I read Watchmen, I hate Ozymandias a little more. Don't get me wrong, I like the story and his part, and the fact that I hate the character is just another indication of how great the story is that it can provoke such an emotion.
