Not so much as easter eggs. :P Most of the stuff was just introducing characters and making apparent they exist.

I'm going to miss this show. And yes, season 1 of AOS sucked ass.

@Gliderman It's very minor but Arnim Zola recruits Dr Faustus to join HYDRA's cause and in AoS season 2 we find out HYDRA brainwashes high value assets using the Faustus Method.

This show did a fantastic job at connecting to the MCU without being completely cheesy or overwhelming with references.

I liked it a lot more when these were ACTUALLY written articles and not click bait links for shitty youtube video hits...

Great video!

One of the Mandarin's rings? Whaaat? That'd be awesome, if they ever bring in the real Mandarin.

@RyanTcone I agree, I never bother to watch these kind of videos. I much prefer written form.

Does anyone but me think Bridget Regan would be great as Captain Marvel. She did a fabulous job on Agent Carter and Marvel owes her big time.

@Canary

Why does Marvel owe her? Yea, she was a cool Dottie and was also cool in Legend of the Seeker. To me, she's just a tv actor. Probably why she had one appearance in John Wick.

@Ramiel - I only meant that she's a "keeper" - someone I'd really like to see again in a Marvel production - unlike Agent 13....She really paid her dues and made an impression...

It's a good thing James Gunn didn't buy your "tv actor" prejudice, or we'd never had Chris Pratt as Star-Lord.

I could barely get through it. Did they actually watch and listen to the Marvel movies and this show and start commenting, or did they just get drunk/ high and press record? That vest was nothing like any of the Iron Man armors. If anything, The Human Torch.

@Canary

Did you really compare Regan to Pratt? Pratt has been acting in movies since 2000, long before ever being cast on Parks and Rec.

Ramiel - why don't you read my post carefully - I did not compare Regan to Pratt - I said you had a "tv actor" prejudice, and I'm right. Come to think of it, Joss Whedon came from tv too, didn't he? Hmmmm....

I honestly enjoy these videos... They're just the right length, the guy is personable and has an appealing attitude. Keep 'em coming.

I enjoy the podcast too... I listen to it while I work, getting a dose of comic book banter to pass the day. Doesn't matter if what they're discussing is "news" to me or not.

I really enjoyed Agent Carter... fun series. That's an interesting theory about Faustus's ring, by the way... I hadn't thought of that. We weren't really given any kind of explanation for his power in the show, after all.

Personally, I think they should have drawn a few more distinctions between Howard and Tony Stark. I like *some* parallels, but not to the point that they become the same character... especially in regards to building instruments of destruction. Howard shouldn't have that awakening, as Stark Industries manufactured weapons for the government through the decades up until Iron Man 1... Unless Tony took them in that direction himself (or allowed Stane to do so after his father's death.)

@Canary but Pratt was well established in films and as far as i'm aware that have nothing to do with Gunn- plus his character on the OC was awesome.

I do agree with @Chewtoy, i didn't like that Howard and Tony are so similar BUT we know in the comics that all of Howard and Maria Stark's actions eventually become influenced by the threat of alien invasion; that's why he builds weapons, pushes Tony etc. (also hiding his firstborn son away from the world). We know that in the not too distant future Peggy starts collecting alien artifacts for the government and against HYDRA. Alien threats may be responsible for pushing Stark to become the man we see in IM2 videos, rather than the Tony copy we see in APC

James needs to get an intern to take dictation for all these old farts who can't stand to watch youtube vids...Tell the intern he can just send them the articles through morse code at their windowsills.

Nah I'm just kidding, everybody's fine.

I always assumed the timeline for Agent Carter was a year or so post-WWII, the period where Howard Stark stops making experimental weapons and starts doing contracts for the government. So...the theft of his weapons just acts as a catalyst for that decision?

I loved Agent Carter. It was cheesy in just the right ways for that period. My only gripe was that every other agent except Carter was a useless rube until the last episode (where agent Walks-a-lot stuffs cotton in his ears and hits Ivchenko with the butt of his pistol or something). I don't know if it was all a boys vs. girls thing or what, but it became really exasperating by the end there...

My favorite running easter egg was the way they always had Jarvis dressed in a green/yellow/red color scheme. His neckties were often most colorful part of his outfits, and his suits often had a slight green tint. Also the plane he chased Howard in was the same colors, and that jacket he was flying in, with the high collar was very reminiscent of Vision's classic costume. Subtle hints at the AI JARVIS becoming Vision in AOU.

Y'know a parallel between Howard and Tony Stark is not an easter egg - it's called a theme.
