Peggy Carter being Tony Stark's mother isn't a theory which makes a whole lot of sense, though with it being revealed that Howard and Maria aren't his real parents in the comics, you never know! It's not an idea Hayley Atwell is particularly keen on, but she is open to the idea that she and Angie (Lyndsy Fonseca) eventually hook up! The actress discusses possible romantic interests for Peggy in a more serious way before moving on to tease future cameos in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and her cameo in Ant-Man. I love her and how much she really understand her show. I hate when an actor doesn't really go into depth with there understanding of these characters and just shares the same boring platitudes you'd expect.

How old would Peggy be when she supposedly had Tony stark? It's more likely that Howard hooked up with some young woman in the 60s.

If it is revealed that Peggy is Tony's mother, then a more plausible explanation is that Peggy and Howard had eventually wed, Howard had an affair in the 60s, Tony was born from that affair, the biological mother soon died, and Peggy forgiave Howard and she became Tony's adopted mother.

Really?!?! I never thought of that one. I wasnt a fan of Howard not being Tony's father either. LOVE Agent Carter though. The is amazing and we all know that Haley turns everything she touches to gold!

Well by comic book cannon as it stands Howard isn't even Tony's father so really his parents could be anyone :-P

I love how when she calls the Vision 'Ultron' by mistake the guys is just like, "Yeah ok thank you for your time, this interview is over.... idiot" LOL

I wouldn't mind if they made Peggy Tony's biological mother in the MCU. That is of course only if the comics didn't follow suit as usual, which they obviously would.

It would be pretty cool if Angie is Starks mother. She has a personality that's similar to Tony Starks, so it's not impossible.

Howar Stark might still be Tony's father. We only know that Maria isn't his mother. But if he was Howard's son, then he had two women knocked up at once. Presumably he stole Tony from an orphanage or something.
