Hayley Atwell Says AGENT CARTER Season 2 Will Consist Of 10 Episodes

Some good news for Agent Carter fans here. Actress Haley Atwell has revealed that the upcoming second season of the show will run for 10 episodes - 2 more than its debut season. Peggy and co. are set to return to our screens during Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s midseason hiatus, but there's no word on whether the extra couple of Agent Carter episodes will have any bearing on the length of the third season of Marvel's flagship series.

Atwell also says that she'll be crashing the Atlanta set of Captain America: Civil War next week, but she's most likely just kidding since we know that... well, you can find the spoilers yourselves if needs be!

“Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.”

I hope Marvel can afford a bit more spectacle. The show had decent writing and performances but its limited budget kept it from ever feeling epic, even in the final episode.

I wouldn't rule out Peggy from the MCU just yet,she could always live on through flashbacks.

Good. Keep it short and simple. I feel like most TV shows shouldn't go over 20 episodes a season. 10 episodes is perfect.

Yeah the show will benefit being a slightly longer season, but still short. Sort of wish Misfits had slightly longer seasons, it definitely would have benefited.

I really dig the miniseries format. All meat, no filler.

Any chance Marvel will do a summer show to fill the space between AoS seasons and tentpole movies?

The forst season was great, airtight and awesome, no filler. So I'm glad to see they're keeping the second season as such. In my opinion, the 21-24 episode season is a dying model. Truly great shows, like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Daredevil and others are using a more miniseries type model over multiple seasons.

You just get better storytelling eith less episodes. As much as I like AoS, it got really filler at times.

It's ABC so she won't get naked...wish it was HBO or Netflix & then she could show more skin.
Perhaps there could be an episode where she's just in a bra for entire episode. Maybe?

@kevberg....stop sniffing that glue and realize im talking about AC and not AOS...AC is pulling in CW numbers in a prime network type A time slot...put it in the friday night death slot and it will be even worse....The Goldbergs was cancelled by ABC with the same demo numbers roughly....only thing that saved it was that its a limited run show....get serious...

I'm sure I'll get flack for saying this but Daredevil could have used the 10 episode format. I love the show but I feel like there was at least an hour or two of fat that probably would have been cut but 13 episodes is more "traditional".
