DAREDEVIL Season 3 Character Breakdown May Suggest That One Of The Villains Will Be Sin Eater

Is Sin Eater going to be introduced in season 3 of Daredevil? That's what That Hashtag Show believe based on the character breakdown below, anyway.

In the comics, Stanley Carter starts out as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who is given enhanced strength and stamina before ending up as an NYPD cop. When his partner is killed, Carter dons a mask and sets about exacting justice against those he feels have abused their power or authority in some way. Unlike The Man Without Fear, however, Sin Eater doesn't leave his victims breathing.

The description for "Steve" could certainly match a small-screen take on this character, but until we find out more we'll have to take it as pure speculation.

What do you guys think? Sound off in the usual place. Daredevil season 3 is set to kick-off production next month.

[STEVE] 28-35, 5’9-6’1, Open ethnicity. An athletic but socially awkward FBI Agent, needs structure and rules to suppress the darkness inside himself. Athletic with medium build, responsible and resourceful, hair trigger temper. SERIES REGULAR

@AleSir19 - Is Shuma Gorath the villain for Iron Fist season 2? This casting description seems to be so!

"Looking for a male between 25-30, medium build, with shoulder length hair to play a one eye man with a short temper"

@SonOfAGif - Could just be an actual FBI agent. Idk but Kingpin aka the Single Best Thing About the Marvel Shows has been on the sidelines long enough. Time for a comeback. Bullseye would be a nice addition and still waiting for the "DD" chest logo. And I guess Karen murdering Wesley will never be dealt with..bummer.

And wouldn't Sin-Eater be owned by Sony, anyways? I'm pretty sure Netflix can't use Spider-Man characters.

@Darkknight2149 - Netflix would work some deal out. Sony owned Kingpin. Fox made a deal with them to use Kingpin in Daredevil movie along with Netflix working out a deal to use Kingpin in Daredevil show.

Unless Sony is planning a Sin Eater film, doubtful we will see him in film.

Avi Arad in 2012.

“Believe it or not, Kingpin was on loan to Daredevil, so again, anything that is part of the Spider-Man Universe or introduced in the Spider-Man Universe–without getting too legal beagle here–is an opportunity, and if we have a story that Kingpin is important, I’m sure we can handle that.”

@LEVITIKUZ -
I doubt it. They're deal primarily pertains to exchanging characters in the movies. And their deal is with Marvel Studios, not the television division (which has nothing to do with the movie division, these days).

@LEVITIKUZ -
And no. Marvel already had the rights to Kingpin. Fox had the rights when they owned Daredevil. Kingpin is like Quicksilver - He is shared by two studios. Sony had nothing to do with Kingpin joining Netflix whatsoever.

@FreelancePeacekeeper - I can't decide which one I'd rather see least. Lol Well I think I still have a 1970's comic with Stilt-Man so he wins, Leap Frog loses.

@FreelancePeacekeeper - "You know what happens when a leapfrog gets struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else."

@RolandD - I'm sorry, but you're so wrong. And I don't mean that to be an internet troll, but with the intent of steering you towards a really good Daredevil book.
Read "Wake Up" by Bendis and Mack.
Imagine it with the Netflix tone, but it's a story about Leapfrog going missing, and Ben Urich interviewing his family and trying to find out what happened. Through the course of the story he starts to understand/see the darker more violent tendencies that drive Matt. But the main story is in getting to know Leapfrogs son and the abuse he suffers from his father, and how each time the villain fails against the hero, someone else pays the price. The weakest suffer the most.

The ending has Urich go home to his family, and when he gets to his front door he has to bury all the pain and misery his job exposes him to so he doesn't in turn bring the same pain to his family that everyone else passes on to the next person. He's a hero because he suffers in silence.
...
I know Leapfrog isn't a great villain, but that's the point. A lot of times a far more interesting story can be told utilizing less dynamic foes.

Give it a read, or google it. The artwork is beautiful.

@RolandD - Normally I like to go deep into esoteric dadaism. But in this moment... that's a good book. It's the good books that are so rare yet also made us fans.
