Kevin Feige Now Says That There WILL Be Some Kind Of MARVEL Movie/TV Crossover... Eventually

Fans had all-but given up hope of ever seeing Marvel's cinematic and TV universes crossover, but Kevin Feige has now stated that he does expect to see it happen at some point. More past the jump...

Though Marvel's television shows do exist in the same universe as the studio's big screen projects, Kevin Feige has always maintained that it's highly unlikely we'd ever see the likes of Daredevil and Jessica Jones mixing it up with the heroes of The Avengers.

Because of this, disappointed fans had pretty much given up on the idea, but recent comments from the studio boss definitely suggest that he's changed his mind - in fact, he now definitively states that it is going to happen... someday.

When asked if a character showing up on TV 100 percent means they can’t end up in a movie during an interview with io9, Feige responded:

"Not necessarily. The future’s a long time. So, the truth is, I don’t really know, but there are a lot of TV shows being made, and hopefully we’ll continue to make a lot of movies. At some point, there’s going to be a crossover. Crossover, repetition, or something."

Of course, even if a TV character does show up in a movie it doesn't necessarily mean they'll be played by the same actor, and Feige's "repetition" comment does seems to be alluding to this possibility.

Either way, fans probably shouldn't expect any steps to be taken towards a crossover for a long time - but it's nice to know that the idea is finally being kicked around, at least.

Well, one thing that he "clearly" meant is that there will be no Defenders or Agents in Infinity War, and probably not in its sequel either.

Kinda disappointing, but not enough to make me take either side of the MCU any less seriously.

@GreekCreekGeek - Ive had this argued about this many times on this website.

But I serious can't understand the logic of sending Hawkeye into space to fight Thanos, yet keep Quake out of it.

I can understand leaving out the defenders (as they are for the most part not "famous"/known by SHEILD). But Daisy literally is an Agent of Sheild. She had the same training as Widow/Haweye.Maybe not as advanced as theirs but that is balanced out by the fact that she can literally shake mountains.

The fact that in Civil War when dicussing the reason for the accords they didnt even mention Nu-human population in a passing sentence (as not to confuse general audinces) is a truly missed oppurtunity. Surely explaing to the Avengers that "superpowers" arent being restricted to their small group but that untrained civillians are coming into powers would be a valid reason for the accords.

She isnt even undercover (a valid reason for the Avengers maybe not knwoing her) as she publically signed the Accords.
