The new IMAX trailer for Marvel and ABC's Inhumans just debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, and was released online almost immediately after.

The teaser features plenty of new footage, and gives us a much better idea of what to expect from the plot, as Triton (he looks pretty bad) travels to earth in order to pick up new recruits, and Maximus hatches his nefarious scheme to supplant his brother, Black Bolt, as king. We also see Medusa's hair-raising powers in action for the first time, and it's... something.

To be fair, this is a much better trailer than the first one, but it's still unliley to win over any doubters.

Erhm no... sorry, still looks awful.

Good trailer though (editing, choice of music)

The VFX look better than i expected. Sadly thats about it. Still mediocre-looking. Not sold on Bucks direction.

This looks way better than the last trailer. I'm actually excited after watching this instead of annoyed and vaguely insulted!

@noahthegrand - I don't know. This still feels like they haven't gone over the hurdle of being so similar to X-Men (and I'm aware the comics are different but this looks and feels so much like the Fox X-Men movies). I'll at least wait until after a review comes out.

I'm glad I got to see inhumans that actually looked inhuman, but why don't the alpha primatives look like they do on agents of shield?

@noahthegrand - well part of that is that ones on shield were failed experiments at creating inhumans. in this case the primitives or lower class appear to be either people that didnt transform upon contact with the mists or got worthless abilities

from the panel:
"He went through a terrigenisis and he became nothing. In this society where your status is based on what power you have and he should have been working the mines but is in the position that he is simply because he is in the brother of the king. So he feels like he can do things better than the king and so now he is motivated to be a revolutionary and a forward thinker and try to change the world for the better for the people that he identifies with. He is still ruthless, but he loves his people and his family, but it is a lonely world. His belief in what he is doing and what he thinks is right, and he is tyring to stop suffering and the cost of the desicions he makes starts to shape him and it is quite a MacBeth-type vibe."

@noahthegrand - not sure what they are mining but there appears to be a shot in the trailer of maximus walking through one

basically its a monarchy where your class isnt determined by money but by your genetic superiority. so those gifted with great powers are at the top, and those with little to no power are at the bottom. it sounds like its kinda similar to hunger games where you had all the rich in powerful living it up in the capital and while the people in the districts did all the work

another bit from the panel:
Iwon, "It was really cool to think of Maximus, to show a different side of him. To try and make things better for those who are living in the caste system and the confrontation between the brothers. So that is where you find Maximus in this one. He is more of an antagonist than a villian. There are no clear villains in this. The idea is that he is a passionate politician and not a villain."
