Though Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist will obviously focus primarily on Danny Rand's journey, it will also delve into the backstory of Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), who must work through her own issues when she decides to help Danny on his dangerous mission to rid New York of a lethal new drug, while also dealing with an addiction to beating the crap out of people as a cage fighter.

Yes, Ms. Wing is quite the badass.

Henwick recently spoke to Collider about her initial hesitation to take on the role, fearing that she'd be playing just another "Asian woman who does martial arts who’s a love interest," but Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb assured her that they would tackle the stereotype - not by avoiding it, but by "inspecting it." You can check out the full interview here.

Take a look at the new Colleen Wing character poster below, and let us know if you're looking forward to Iron Fist in the comments section.

Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

Iron Fist hits Netflix on March 17, 2017.

@BlackStar25 -

Doctor Strange got a teaser early April.

Thor Ragnarok should definitely have a teaser trailer by April - at the latest we'll see the teaser with GOTG 2.

@BlackStar25 - As for Justice League, we wont be seeing the trailer for that for a while. They'll probably keep it hidden and re-do the trailer based on the reaction to Wonder Woman.

The whole moving pose thing on the poster is interesting, but would have been nice to have her in a better pose than just standing there.

Interestingly enough, I think that most of the strenght of Marvel/Netflix's shows lies on it's supporting cast. Daredevil is the best, with Foggy and Karen that are, both, absolutely astonishing characters - not to mention Stick or Elektra. Jessica had them too, just as Luke Cage. Said that, Colleen is one of the elements that get me more hyped for the Iron Fist show. As much as I'm already hyped to see him on screen, as a big fan of the character itself, I'm dying to see how they'll treat the world around him - not just by it's locations and myths, with K'un-Lun, but also in these supporting roles. ALL ABORD THE HYPE TRAIN, IT'S COMING

Hoping this to be good. Despite all popular opinion, i enjoyed DD season 2 even more than the first (even if it felt a bit uneven at times), and Luke Cage was fun and did his thing. I don't get all the hate, it was corny and fun, but in a good way. I think people that over-critize it (usually hate JJ as well) and fail to understand that the shows vary drastically in style, which is fine with me.

Not all heroes need to be as grounded an gritty as DD, The Punisher got that treatment and in imo it worked aces.

In other words, looking forward to Iron Fist with fresh eyes. So far The Defenders havn't dissapointed me yet.
