Jessica Jones Trailer Could be Dropping Soon

Jessica Jones Trailer Could be Dropping Soon

With Captain America: Civil War finishing up with principal photography, DareDevil Season 2 shooting right now, and the Secret Warriors on the way, there's still one more Marvel property flying under everyone's radar, and that's Jessica Jones.

In Alias, no one ever cared about JJ, and everyone forgot she even existed. She's even slipped among the comicbook fans on this site. Let's not forget that Jessica Jones has been confirmed to be coming out later this year and that each of the Defenders series expected to be approximately 6 months of each other. With this in mind, the answer would be October but considering it's mid August right now and we still haven't heard much, then it's probably unlikely. Especially since Agents of Shield Season 3 comes out September 29th, it could be problematic premiering both shows around the same time. So the best guess would be around November with early December being the latest.

We all still on board? Good! Now with that information Netflix tends to want about 2 months to properly promote their original series. Daredevil's first trailer was released in February, and then premiered 2 months later in April. Orange is the New Black premiered June with the first trailer released on April, and House of Card Season 3 broke the trend but it's first 2 seasons had the Trailer come out 2 months earlier as well.
With all that in mind, and assuming JJ will be on Netflix early December the latest, we should be seeing a trailer no later then Early October, and if it does end up releasing in November (which would match DareDevil's production time) then we should be getting a trailer 3 weeks from now early September.

We'll also continue to be getting information on October 8th at New York Comic Con, which many of you remember is when the DareDevil panel was last year. We might even get more info about DD Season 2. Granted for all we know the first trailer could drop next week, but with all the information we know, we should be getting our first Jessica Jones poster in the coming weeks. If everything we've been lead to be true, expect the trailer to drop in less then a month from now.

What do you guys think? Does this sound right? Are you excited? Are some of you still underestimating JJ? Sound off in the comments below

@KurtWagner1225 Try Marvel Unlimited! I'm not sure if it's on there but I think it is. Great noir series, great characterization, the art also reflects the character's current state.

Love me some Krysten Ritter. Obviously great in Breaking Bad; her ABC show, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 shouldnt have been cancelled so soon. She's particularly nasty in Alex Ross Perry's LISTEN UP PHILIP, which came out last year.

I don't watch Doctor Who but I think we got a small taste of Kilgrave/Purple Man with Tennant's performance at the end of HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE and is a hoot in that Fright Night remake with Colin Farrell. Broadchurch is pretty intense too.

I haven't seen anything with Mike Colter so I can't really comment on him but Marvel casting is rarely not great.

@Reasonnnn @KurtWagner1225 The character I'm most excited about is HellCat, just cause i don't know much about her. She's an original defender and I wonder if she'll be part of the defenders in a widow/falcon/hawkeye side character kind of role. The mystry round her character intrigues me the most

@Reasonnn @KurtW I dont think Marvel Unlimited runs the Adult/Mature titles under the MAX line like Alias and Punisher Max.

You can get online elsewhere tho - is Bendis's best shit.

@UltimateTypeFace Ahhh gotcha, sorry @KurtWagner1225 !

And yeah, Trish Walker is likely taking the Carol Danvers role in the show.
