We were all blown away by Loki's impressive premiere, but today's episode, titled "The Variant," doubled down on the Disney+ series being unlike anything we've ever seen from the MCU before.

With the God of Mischief now on the same side as the Time Variance Authority, we learned more about The Variant's plans and wrapped things up with a shocking cliffhanger. Where things go from here remains to be seen, but only two episodes of Loki were screened for critics a few weeks ago, so everyone will be watching at the same time from next Wednesday onwards.

As per usual, Disney+ has shared some spoilery stills from today's episode of Loki, with the majority putting the spotlight on the title character's team-up with Mobius. However, Miss Minutes - the show's early breakout star - also receives the spotlight, as does the hooded, mysterious Variant.

The streaming service will likely share a new character poster for a certain someone and a fresh batch of stills later this week or on Monday, so you'll want to continue checking back for updates.

In our review of the first two episode of Loki, we said: "Nothing can prepare you for Loki, a mind-bending dive into the Marvel Multiverse that takes everything you thought you knew about the MCU and turns it on its head for one of the most ambitious, craziest stories Marvel Studios has ever told."

Although I'm confused as to why the TVA doesn't use high tech computers, I dig the aesthetic of this show. The files and old computer probably do contribute to that.

@bkmeijer - The aesthetic is to be a futuristic office place that still uses dinosaur tech which is pretty cool

@bkmeijer - it's both an aesthetic choice and also thematic. Loki is still somewhat in disbelief that the greatest power in the universe is a bunch of clunky bureaucracy and red tape.

@Spidey91 - yeah, and so am I. And nor do I believe in the allmighty power of the time-keepers either
