LOKI Easter Egg Reveals A Clever Nod To Ravona Renslayer's Comic Book Origin - SPOILERS

A newly-revealed Easter Egg from Wednesday's episode of Loki brings to light a clever nod to Judge Ravona Renslayer's comic book origins, and may also hint at the debut of a certain conqueror!

This week's episode of Loki left us with a lot to discuss, and while we've already covered most of the major moments and reveals, it seems one clever Easter Egg slipped through the cracks.

As "The Nexus Event" gets underway, we flash-back to the TVA's abduction and attempted "pruning" of Sylvie, with Judge (then Agent) Ravona Renslayer leading the team. Sylvie manages to give her the slip, and one eagle-eyed fan noticed something very interesting when we cut to a shocked Renslayer realizing she's been pickpocketed.

If you look closely at Ravona's left shoulder as the young variant takes the TemPad and makes her escape, you’ll notice that she's sporting the designation number A-23.

This is almost certainly not a random choice, because Ravona Renslayer, aka Terminatrix, was introduced in Avengers #23 back in 1965. This issue also featured Renslayer's nemesis/love-interest Kang The Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), who is rumored to appear in the Disney+ series ahead of his big-screen debut in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

We doubt this is meant as a direct reference to Kang, but many believe the villain will ultimately be unveiled as the show's big bad and the one who has been pulling the TVA's strings all along.

Today is a good day. This show is still ridiculous. I feel like it'll be a three minute conversation to explain the six episodes we will sit through to further the larger narrative of the MCU. Penny, penny.

@tripttwe - ridiculous in a good way. I'm loving it.

Loki is the best Disney Plus show yet imo. Of course it could still fluff the landing...

@RorMachine - WV was absolutely outstanding for 7 episodes. And then I think it botched the landing a bit.

@RorMachine - it’s been a blast and is my favorite of the three so far. However it does have some issues. Mobius and Loki’s friendship felt rushed as did Loki falling in love with Silvie after one episode of them mostly arguing and trying to stab each other in the back

@KingLeonidas

Eh...WV took a turn for the worse when SWORD got mixed into things. First 3 episodes were all pretty excellent. The exposition just felt like too much and the mystery box story wasn't as interesting as I thought it was going to be.

The finale was straight up pretty bad.

What if Kang is a Loki variant in the MCU?

@Urubrodi - that's the theory they had here the other day

@Vigor - I wouldn't be surprised if true. It would explain why TVA has this obsession with Lokis and set up the next Marvel villain.

@Urubrodi - Kang is black.

@NathanielX - So? One of the Loki variants is black.

Be interesting to see if she suits up as Terminatrix or if that’s who she was before the TVA plucked her up…

I love how she is the MOST HATED CHARACTER right now for pruning Mobius. My gf yelled at the tv when she said prune him.

Yeah I'm not taking this as any Kang confirmation either. It's a cool nod to Renslayer's first appearance though.

What about the trophy cabinet? It shows the helmet she wore in that issue.

Even though they were robots, the time lords were awesome. Can't wait to see Kang
