LOKI: New Spoiler Stills From "Journey Into Mystery" Feature A Lot Of Different Gods Of Mischief

Marvel Studios has shared a new batch of stills from today's episode of Loki, "Journey Into Mystery," and the spotlight is put squarely on a number of Loki Variants (including that memorable trio).

As you'll know if you've read our recap of today's episode of Loki, "Journey Into Mystery" took us to The Void and introduced a lot of new Loki Variants.

Their respective stories were undeniably fascinating, and as cool as it was to see Kid Loki in live-action, something tells us that it's Richard E. Grant's "Classic Loki" who will leave a lasting impact with fans. Not only was his costume phenomenal, but in the short amount of screentime he received here, this Loki Variant managed to make his mark in a big way.

These new stills put the spotlight squarely on those Variants, including the villainous President Loki who only ended up having a small role in the show (despite factoring heavily into the trailers).

Only one image takes us back to the Time Variance Authority, and that focuses on Wunmi Mosaku's Hunter B-15 during her interrogation with Judge Renslayer. She's also looking for answers about whoever is pulling the strings at the end of time, and something tells us the TVA will factor heavily into next week's final episode.

We'll have much more about Loki for you later today, and with the countdown to that finale now on, this is going to be an exciting week for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Love how Kid Loki survived and the seeds for Young Avengers are being set up more and more

@BlackBeltJones - exactly how powerful loki should be. even more powerful I'd say in addition to flight ability energy manipulation like Agatha and wanda

@OmegaEffect - The power he displayed here seemed Wanda level. If not greater.

I think he survived too. Pulled what he did on Thanos.

Seeing that Throg cameo was pretty cool, lol

Gotta say that President loki scene was pretty awkward. It's just so quick he shows up, then everyone betrayed everyone, then it just ends.

@ElricReturns - “These shows haven't had any real consequences on the movies yet.”

Well that’s probably bc we haven’t had any movies released of even filmed (aside from Spiderman) since the shows have been released. We got a new Captain America though I don’t think that’s inconsequential

@Ha1frican - that's literally why the next sentence after the one you quoted says "We've yet to see if the movies will even get into the events of WanaVision in any meaningful way". I acknowledged that we've yet to see how they will address the shows.

And as for Sam being the new Cap, that was addressed at the end of Endgame by Steve passing the sheild to Sam. To anyone who didn't watch WinterFalcon, Sam appearing as Cap in the next movie was always gonna happen, there was no need to watch the series to understand why Sam is the new Cap. So again.... no REAL ramifications or consequences... just the illusion stuff happened.

@ElricReturns -
"These shows haven't had any real consequences on the movies yet."

Falcon & Winter Soldier: Sam becomes Captain America, and will next be seen in his own movie.

WandaVision: Wanda's powers drastically changing, which will be a huge deal in 'Multiverse of Madness.' Her attempts to reclaim her children will likely be a big part of that movie as well. Also, Monica is introduced as an adult and gets her powers before co-starring in 'The Marvels.'

Loki: At the very least, the Multiverse is introduced. This is necessary for 'MoM' and possibly 'FFH.'

Ms. Marvel: Not out yet, but we already know she'll be a major character in 'The Marvels.'

So... Those are some pretty big consequences for the movies.

@Ha1frican -

"Thank you. I'll do my best."

"That's why it's yours."

To people who didn't watch WinterFalcon, Sam is already the new Cap.

@SerKurtWagner - I definitely agree the shows introduce bigger themes and extra content that can add to the fleshing out of this universe, but I think you misunderstood my point. I'm saying to anyone who hasn't watched the shows, nothing going into these movies has really been consequential. Sam was made Cap in Endgame. WinterFalcon fleshes out Sam's decision to become Cap, but it isn't necessarily important to watch WinterFalcon to understand why Sam is Cap in the upcoming movies. They will have to explain Wanda to some extent in Doctor Stange 2, but we shall see how important WandaVision actually is to the events of that movie. We have no idea yet. They could explain everything we need to know about Wanada in that movie, again making her show not NECCESSARY. And we shall see how Loki wraps up, but the Multiverse also was introduced and explained in Endgame and will likely get explained again in the movies. So again, while a fun side quest, I have a feeling there won't be meaningful consequences. But I eagerly hope to be proven wrong.

@SerKurtWagner - I guess to me it's like as if they made a show about Wanda and Vision on the run before Infinity War. They could add to the characters and story and flesh things out, but we really didn't need to see all that. It was explained well enough to understand why Vision is in human form in Infinity War and we understand their relationship has progressed. We didn't need a show to understand that, just like we wouldn't need WandaVision to explain Wanda has been on a journey off screen after Endgame leading into Doctor Stange 2. They could just address it in the movie.

This was a fun episode, but was it just me or was everyone over acting the whole episode? It felt like everyone was hamming it up, and a lot of it felt kinda off to me. The chemistry between everyone felt sorta artificial and awkward, and I don't think it was intentional. Idk... there was something jarring to me about the acting in this episode. Kid Loki wasn't a very good actor in my opinion, like can you image if they got Jack Dylan Grazer or a kid with that level of charisma. Idk...

The acting this episode just didn't land for me. I wanted to enjoy this episode a whole lot more than I did.

@ElricReturns - I saw some of that. I believe the kid and bearded Loki came off as inexperienced actors and paled next to their counterparts. But Old Loki, Sylvie & MCU Loki came off well and didn't feel hammy. I thought the fight scene in the hole seemed pretty cheezy and didn't fit into the rest of the story.

I went in expecting Throg and any other variant that could show up. I even expected a Loki ballywoo, reasoning that if you get enough Lokis in one place there was bound to be some betrayal and extravagant confrontation. Yet, I still got floored by the Thanos Copter.

Alioth was a nice touch, too. But it was all about the Thanos Copter for me.

I have to say, I wasn't totally wowed by Kid Loki. Then again, it's probably not that easy for a child actor to shine when your co-stars are an adorable alligator, and Richard E. Grant going all out.

Marvel is so far ahead that Thanos Copter and Throg got their Live-action debuts, first than a lot of super heroes from the distinct competition.
