LOKI Star Tara Strong Reacts To Miss Minutes Possibly Being Revealed As Tomorrow's Big Bad (Exclusive)

With the Loki finale just hours away, one of the biggest theories circulating around the web is that Miss Minutes may be the show's ultimate big bad, so we asked Tara Strong for her thoughts...

With the Loki finale nearly upon us, we were able to catch up with legendary voice actress Tara Strong and chat with her about voicing the instantly iconic Miss Minutes, who has become one of the show's brightest spots throughout its six-episode run - and has also gradually become one of the frontrunners to (possibly) be revealed as tomorrow's big bad!

While the affable star understandably couldn't divulge too much about what's to come in tomorrow's hotly-awaited season finale, she's been really appreciative of how much love fans have showered on her character and, like all of us, she's really enjoyed reading the wild theories about how Miss Minutes may be revealed as the biggest, baddest villain of them all.

"I love looking at them, they’re so much fun seeing how invested everyone is, to see how much they love the show and love Miss Minutes," Strong told us. "You never know when there’s an animated character or even an unusual character in a world that already exists, so I’m so grateful to the fans that they’ve taken to her so much and they loved her. They fell in love with her before the show aired, even from the promos, they loved this little character.

I’m really happy and I love reading all of the ideas of where people think she’s going or whether or not she’s the mastermind behind everything. It’s really fun. I like interacting with the fans on social too, so I see a lot of it and the fan art has been amazing, my gosh, I’ve been trying to retweet all of the artists that have taken time to make something special to show their love for her."

Miss Minutes isn't the first A.I. character Strong has voiced, but it may very well be the most unique. Drawing some inspriation from both Jurassic Park's Mr. D.N.A. and Apple's Siri, she explained where she found her character's charming voice and touched on her secretive audition process for Marvel Studios.

"It was a very collaborative process, finding the voice for her, and any time I’ll have an audition, I’ll get a good drawing of the character, the character description, sometimes a show bible to understand her world, but I didn’t really get any of that from the initial audition.

I didn’t know what the show was. I didn’t know who I was auditioning for. I didn’t know much about the character, except that she was somewhere between a Siri and a sentient creature and I tried to get information and I couldn’t and it wasn’t until I booked the job that I knew who she was and in the audition, they said to lay down a couple different versions with an accent and they seem to love the Southern one, so I’m very grateful and then even within that, as we went along, we played along with her, did many, many different takes to find exactly the right pocket for her."

Stay tuned for more from Tara and be sure to check out the full video interview below!

Tara is amazing. I feel like if Miss Minutes was the big bad she wouldn't have even discussed it. The fact she says she likes reading theories about it makes me think that it is definitely not her.

@ElricReturns - she is an E.G. Daily clone. I remember always getting them mixed up.

there are a few possibilities as to who is the big bad man in the castle pulling the strings but I think Miss Minutes being the one would feel a little empty considering she's been mostly a background character. I'm totally OK with her being a henchman/insider of the actual big bad, keeping tabs on the TVA and reporting of any irregularities or problems to her superior.
I think we're getting a King Loki sort of thing since, you know, it's kinda the theme of the show, and it would kinda tie everything together, a Loki who never stopped chasing that glorious purpose so he set out to erase every Loki in the Multiverse so he can be the only one in control. it would also call back to the first episode and what Mobius said, "what comes next after conquering Earth? Loki, King of space?", and no, it would actually be Loki, King of Time.

of course Kang would be the favorite fans choice, and since it is the fans choice it's way I think it's not going to happen, it's too obvious and it also doesn't really tie into the rest of the show since Kang is another whole can of worms, having a whole-ass big bad like him appear just in the final episode would lack weight, Kang is a character that comes with a lot of lore baggage. but I liked the idea I read on the internet a few days ago, where this show is the origin story of Kang: after the TVA is destroyed or whatever and the variants are free there's one dude remaining behind and gets a hold of the time technology, and it's Jonathan Majors, and then he adopts the look of the fake Time Keepers (I don't think it's coincidence that one of the Time Keeper robots looks almost exactly like Kang).

There is also the possibility that she is similar to Tony Stark's Jarvis. She is Kang's Jarvis. So she supervises the TVA and when everything is known, Ravonna will decide which side she is on.

I’m getting the feeling she isn’t the big bad now since she was willing to say that.

Either way, Tara Strong is a legend in voice acting.

It will probably be a Loki behind it all, but maybe we'll learn about the forbidden love between Miss Minutes and Casey, and how they kille the Time Keepers to rule time together.

I doubt Miss Minutes is gonna be the big bad, because I think it's more likely that she serves as a proxy (maybe also controlling the time-keepers).

As for the real person behind it all, I'm hoping it's Tara Strong as the One Who Remains (instead of a he it's a she, going with the Marvel trend), Mr. Alternity or even Casey, but a Godking Loki is still the most likely candiate based on the theme of the show.

My money is on a future/alternate version of Ravonna, Terminatrix or Revelation. I obviously want it to be Kang or Immortus, but it just makes more sense that an already established character is behind it all.

My bet is on Immortus.

@GeneralZod - Would be pretty cool if it is, but Im skeptical it will be. Here's hoping

@J0RELLC00LJ - Despite my personal wants, i am skeptical also. If it is not Immortus or Kang etc, we will have seen a pattern, after 3 miniseries by Marvel Studios, that no big-name villain (with no prior MCU history) is in the cards. (It was Agatha all along; Power Broker might have been Sharon, yawn; and TBD tomorrow.)

@J0RELLC00LJ - Indeed I was. It would have been nice (and comic book-accurate) if The One Who Remains was called "Immortus", because that's clearly who the character was, but I'm not complaining. I'm just an aging guy that is blessed to see my Silver Age, Bronze Age and Copper Age Marvel comic book heroes and villains all coming to life in a cohesive, shared universe. And the best is yet to come.

@J0RELLC00LJ - They got the Immortus costume pretty close (except the headdress):

And this is a preview of Kang ...

I'd hate for this to be the third show in a row where the mysterious big bad turns out to be "-previously established character- all along!"

I hope they don’t ruin the big reveal of the big bad. It’s really the only thing majorly interesting in the series. Not sure how it will make sense, but my guess is it’s Loki. Whichever one they intend to run with as ‘Loki’ after the series is over will turn heel at the end.

If this series is intended to be a passing of the torch and fair well to Tom Hiddleston, the girl will be the big bad and the mastermind, and betray Tom Loki.
If Tom is staying, he will betray the girl, become more powerful and more dastardly in one swoop.
Either way they achieve the same thing.

My guess is Lady Loki is the mastermind. We really know very little about her, making it easier for it to be explained how she could orchestrate all this more plausibly.
Also, mcu seems to be moving on out a plan of pushing out all the old stars in favor of newer, more diverse copies (ie not white males). Lady Loki would fit the trend.

Whatever the case, wether a Loki has been the mastermind behind the tsa or not, I kind of assume one Loki will betray the other and the surviving Loki will obtain some sort of power from the tsa.
