On August 2, Marvel TV's
Runaways will make the jump from Hulu to Freeform (formerly ABC Family). The first episode will air directly after the season 1 finale of Cloak & Dagger (8est /7pst PM). However, there's a catch.
Only the first episode of
Runaways will be shown, as the comic book adaptations shift from streaming to broadcast TV looks to be a temporary, one-time thing.
Also of interest is the fact that 20th Century Fox owns 30% of Hulu, which will naturally transfer over to Disney when the merger is finalized. That certainly opens the door for a number of tantalizing possibilities, especially with the relationship between Netflix and Marvel appearing to sour a bit.
It's also possible that Marvel could simply yank all of the Fox-owned properties currently airing on Hulu and move them to the forthcoming Disney streaming service.
After discovering their parents are super-villains in disguise, a group of teenagers band together to run away from their homes in order to atone for their parents' actions and to discover the secrets of their origins.
