The expanding cast of Marvel's Secret Invasion may be about to get even more impressive with the addition of Carmen Ejogo.

According to The Illuminerdi, the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them actress is in advanced talks to join the Disney+ series' ensemble. Though details on her role are sparse, Ejogo's character is said to be "from the same world as Sam Jackson’s Nick Fury," and is described as "a powerful leader with a spy feel."

This report comes on the heels of several major casting announcements, with Olivia Coleman (The Favorite, Tyrannosaur). Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones, Solo: A Star Wars Story) and Killian Scott (The Dublin Murders, Love/Hate) all signing on for undisclosed supporting roles.

Plot details are also under wraps, but we do know that Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn will reprise their Captain Marvel roles as Nick Fury and Talos, respectively. It's also been confirmed that the show will focus on "an infiltration of Skrulls on Earth" (no big surprises there).

One Night In Miami star Kingsley Ben-Adir will play the lead villain. We don't know who that'll be, but Dorrek VII, Emperor of the Skrull Empire, is a strong possibility.

Thomas Bezucha (Let Him Go) and Ali Selim (The Looming Tower) have been tapped to helm the upcoming miniseries, which will (loosely) adapt the Marvel Comics event series of the same name by Brian Michael Bendis.

Kyle Bradstreet (Mr. Robot) is writing and executive producing Secret Invasion, and production is expected to get underway in Europe later this year. It is unclear what the breakdown of episodes will be, but sources believe it could be three-three or four-two.

She may be a former member of Nick Fury's old command.

When Nick and other agents were recruited by Peggy, Howard, Dum Dum Dugan, and Alexander Pierce at the beginning of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dugan created the new Howling Commandos within the agency. So Nick, Allegra, Carmen Ejogo's character and others were the members of the new Howling Commandos. Some members died and others became estranged, but they will meet again on the Secret Invasion Show.

If this show doesn't introduce Clay Quartermain I'm going to be pissed.

Carmen is a fairly respected actress, if not known within this community. She did a very good turn as Coretta Scott King in the film "Selma" and even appeared in HBO's "True Detective" among other things. She's a good addition to the cast.

I might be dumb, but that does this mean? Three episodes of three hours (thats seems unrealistic though) or something like that?

I know everyone has suspected that’s who Emilia Clarke is playing, but “from the same world as Nick Fury” makes me think Abigail Brand.
