Following the immense critical and commercial success of Legion, FOX is back with their second X-Men universe series of the year in The Gifted and if the early reception is anything to go by, then it looks like the network has another major hit on their hands.

To add to the hype, the network has released the first six minutes from the upcoming series premiere, tossing us right into the thick of the action as we catch Blink on the run and are then introduced to Eclipse, Polaris, and Thunderbird, who do their best to find her before the authorities. It all ends in a pretty cool showdown as the daughter of Magneto shows us a little of what she's capable of.

Check out the first six minutes below:

I liked Legion but I'm not sure sure how to feel about this. Also there are way too many series' that i have to watch. There is like absolutely no time with middle school, homework and soo many darn series' that i got to watch. And now Gifted? Give me a break.

Sure I dont actually have to watch the series' and should probably do my homework but i really want to see this

@MeAreLegend - Middle school??? Do you have parental consent to use this computer and surf on this site, where Josh's pervy articles about half-naked photoshoots and provocative cosplays are laid bare before your eyes? Stop reading, STOP READING RIGHT NOW.

Kidding. Here is one more.

@Spock0Clock - Well, you have to admit, that is 100% comic-accurate fan art. Not really my type though *cough* shut up *cough*

Chapman has done a few great ones. I think Supergirl is my favorite, with Power Girl.

It looks like it may surprise us. I was least interested in this when it was announced as being a new comic book show, but it's proving me wrong.

Its weird how, at least in Canada, they are advertising this as "part of the Marvel Universe."

I'm really glad they were able to use Blinks DoFP portal effect on a tv budget. I felt they were simply going to go for a "swirling scarlet effect" (akin to Rick and morty).
I really like they way it looks like she is ripping space-time apart.
