The Gifted returned this week with an exciting second season premiere that picked up several months after the events of the first season finale, which, of course, ended in jaw-dropping fashion as the Mutant Underground split into two separate factions and broke up the mutant family fans had come to know and love.

As we wait to see what happens with the Mutant Underground and the Inner Circle moving forward, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has released The Complete First Season on DVD for any diehard Marvel or X-Men fans that need to add Marvel TV's latest venture to their ever-growing home video collection.

The set contains three discs that
includes all thirteen episodes from the show's freshman outing. (Disc 1: eXposed, rX, eXodus, eXit strategy) (Disc 2: boXed in, got your siX, eXtreme measures, threat of eXtinction) (Disc 3: outfoX, eXpolited, 3 X 1, eXtraction/X-roads).

While the season is plenty exciting by itself, unfortunately, there are no special features included with the episodes, so the set is probably best used for any collectors or as an inexpensive gift for any family or friends that may have missed the series when it initially aired last fall since it's a relatively quick watch.

While there's no word on whether the season will receive a Blu-ray release down the line, it's currently available to order on Amazon for $17.96.

ANDY AND LAUREN HAVE A SHARED DREAM ON AN ALL-NEW "THE GIFTED" TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2, ON FOX

Thunderbird contacts a mutant lawyer who recruited him to the Underground years ago, hoping she can help him find the Inner Circle. Lauren and Andy have a shared dream, which distracts Andy from his training and prompts Reeva to consider cutting her losses with him, which, in turn, makes Andy second-guess his separation from his sister. Meanwhile, Reed must keep a huge secret from the group and Jace picks up the mutants' trail again in the all-new "unMoored" episode of THE GIFTED airing Tuesday, Oct. 2 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

I feel like I'm the only one who JUST couldn't get into this show? I saw like 6 episodes of the first season, and nothing excited me about it.

When they say the term "X-Men", that's about as exciting the show gets for me. Nice to see it's doing well tho. Marvel needs more respect TV show wise.

I bought mine. Now that Disney is keeping the Fox networks around, I'm hoping this and Legion get renewed again.
