SPOILER: New PUNISHER Set Snaps Reveal That Frank Castle Will Be Joined By An Old Friend

Following our first glimpse of a bearded Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) on the set of Marvel's Punisher series, some new images SPOIL the cameo of another character from a previous Netflix show...

The first pics from the New York set of Marvel and Netflix's Punisher series gave us a look at the returning Jon Bernthal as a more hirsute Frank Castle, and this latest image from the FirstLook TV And Film Twitter account reveals that fellow Daredevil alum Deborah Ann Woll will also be reprising her role for the spinoff.

It's not really surprising that Karen Page would be reconnect with Castle, as the two were shown to share a close, if somewhat unconventional bond in season 2 of Daredevil.

What does this mean for Karen's future with Nelson and Murdock's law firm? Will she be joining The Punisher as a regular sidekick moving forward? Keep an eye out for updates as production continues in NYC.

I thought she was "done" with him.

Interesting that they're bringing her back...

@MattBellissimo -

She's the kind of girl who says that and never means it.

So if The Punisher comes out before The Defenders, what's the chances of him showing up in The Defenders?

@JonAwesome - I would say fairly high. I expect him to show up in at least one episode no matter what

@JonAwesome - Maybe an appearance, but I can't see him being part of the team.

@JonAwesome - Personally, I hope not at all. The other defenders are all in the broad category of "superhero", but Punisher really isn't in that vein. He has his place in the world, but I prefer him on the fringes of the fringes.

Despite the Punisher role being severely reduced towards the end of season 2 (criminally so, in my opinion) the relationship Frank developed with Karen was beautifully and realistically executed.

That diner scene goes down as one of the best in the entire Netflix Marvel sphere so far. All that time Karen spent defending Castle as a human being, and she finally sees/hears what he's truly capable of.

This must somewhat tie into Defenders. I feel like Frank will turn up in Defenders Karen may be what brings him into the fold.

I also think she factors into his life in that she cares about him and would want to make sure he's ok. I would totally buy her as the person that tries to keep him grounded and 'human'. I'd rather Karen be his confidante and aid of sorts, than Claire.

I bet we get a partial update of how she's handling knowing that Matt is Daredevil. Nelson and Murdock is dead too. Maybe Matt's reveal and the end of the firm, sent her running off to try and 'figure things out' and this lead her to Frank somehow.

He seems to genuinely care about her. There's an underlying concern he has for her. Maybe even respect. Their relationship in season 2 was interesting.

I think Karen trying to humanize a guy who doesn't really want to be humanized is great conflict for her. She cares about him I think, even after that diner scene where he showed how brutal and messed up he is.

Ugh....the last thing Marvel Netflix needs is more Karen and Foggy.

@regularmovieguy - the guy that plays foggy is a pretty terrible actor but i like karen she serves a lot of purpose and isn't just there for humanization

That's like saying herpes is better than gonorrhea. They're both shitty characters.
