After a long-time without an official Disney+ release date, it seems that, aside the fact that Marvel Studio's is now eyeing a date sometime during Christmas of this year, the episode titles for Marvel Studio's What-If...? Season 2 have been revealed!

This post comes from X user The Nerd Rage Podcast, who revealed all nine-upcoming episode titles for Marvel Studio's What-If...? Season 2:

The 9 episodes of 'What If...?' Season 2 have been revealed!
They are:

What if Gamora killed Thanos?
• What if Captain Carter finds Hydra Stomper? (Continued from Season 1)
• What if the Tesseract landed in Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the colonization of America? (Introduction of new hero Kahhori)
• What if Hank Pym & Janet Van Dyne fought the Red Guardian during 1980’s?
• What if Yondu delivered Star-Lord to Ego?
• What if Happy Hogan saved Christmas? (Iron Man 3)
• What if Wanda had grown up watching musicals instead of sitcoms?
• What if Odin & Hela had faced Wenwu?
• What if Avengers had fought Surtur?

Many of these episodes' plots have been teased months back, and it appears that Season 2 is embracing the randomized theme of the series than Season 1 had. Expect some interesting standout episodes, as those like What If Happy Hogan saved Christmas? and What if Wanda had grown up watching musicals? Should be a fun viewing experience.

Are you excited for Marvel Studio's What-If...? Season 2?

Marvel Studio's is currently eyeing a Christmas 2023 release date for Marvel Studio's What-If...? Season 2. We will keep you updated if any news on the subject surfaces.

Marvel Studio's What If...? is an American animated anthology series created by A. C. Bradley for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. It is the fourth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, and the studio's first animated series from Marvel Studios Animation. The series explores alternate timelines in the multiverse that show what would happen if major moments from the MCU films occurred differently. Bradley serves as head writer for the first two seasons, with Bryan Andrews directing.

@WakandanQueen -

Don't get your hopes up. This list is more fake than a candidate's promises pre-election.

What If... Steve and Bucky made a gay porno.

@EgoEgor - Oh, you mean "Captain Americock: The Winter Reach-around"? That's already been made is is available online for a very reasonable price considering the high production quality... or so I've been told.

@EgoEgor - Bucky has a metal asshole as well as a metal arm, it had to be replaced as it was worn out after he was used as the regimental "mascot" in WW2. That's why he now grows his hair long and greasy and goes on bitter marches. Damaged.

Guessing the first one is the sakarr iron man episode

a Captain Carter continuation, expected and cool. hopefully has better pacing than the first one.

tesaract one sounds like it could be interesting, same with yondu delivering peter to ego,

happy one doesnt sound interesting but seems like one that might just be a funny time, not to be taken seriously.

What if wanda watched musicals......sounds like they just want a musical episode, it really wouldn't change enough to warrant an episode.

the rest of the episodes don't sound like What Ifs, they just sound like regular storylines you could probably see

@dracula - the Wanda musical one really sounds like a waste of energy. There are so much more interesting What Ifs to tell with Wanda

I guess I’m like everyone and just burned out on the MCU lately because these sound so [frick]ing terrible and I have zero interest in watching any of these.

They made sure to release this first instead of X-Men shows how out of touch Feige and Marvel are becoming.

Enough with trying to build new heroes in the MCU or expand on Avengers ideas. Give us Doom and the goddamn X-Men already.

eagc1995 - 9/7/2023, 7:49 PM
@kg8817 - Its not that Feige and Marvel are out of touch, they are not being DC as changing their entire plans just to use someone characters is a DC move, not Marvel. thing is that Marvel couldn't plan out Phases 4-6 with X-Men and co (or at least in a major capacity) because there was a possibility the merge couldn't happen and legally they couldn't work or even plan anything with X-Men and FF until March 2019 otherwise the government shuts down the deal, they had to move foward with their plans for Phases 4-6 as if they would never get them, just like how Fox had to plan our their X-Men universe as if there was not going to be any merger (like they had greenlight a bunch of X-Men stuff in the lead up to the merger=

Even Feige told us. its gonna be 5 years before we X-Men, guess when we are getting first X-Men related project? at the end of those 5 years.

Besides What If S2 was always intended to release before anything X-Men, What IF S2 was supposed to kick off Phase 5 instead of Ant-Man 3.

@kg8817 - @VictorAlonzo - What's really out of touch is thinking this was released before X'97 intentionally. Hell, some of the What If S2 episodes were already developed during S1.

Stop being impatient. That's for the DCEU who thought they could rush out what they thought fans wanted and they could shortcut themselves to the MCU's level of success. Proper story building takes TIME.

Didn't watch Season 1, but the Odin & Hela Vs Wenwu Hell in a Cell Match sounds cool.

I just wish these were Comic Based What If stories, but then again Marvel fans don't read comics
Tonic24k
Tonic24k - 9/8/2023, 12:40 PM
@KaptainKhaos - I grew up reading comics from the early 90s. The What If one shots were great. But I'm not interested in seeing something I've already seen in the comics. I'd much rather see new content relevant to the cinematic universe we've gotten with the MCU.
Corruptor
Corruptor - 9/7/2023, 8:00 PM
Never saw the point of what if stories in a fictional universe, if you want to tell those stories just tell them in the regular continuity! It's not like a "what if" based on real history events.
slickrickdesigns
slickrickdesigns - 9/7/2023, 9:13 PM
@Corruptor - what if allows them to kill off or alter characters with out soiling the reputations of characters in the shared universe comics.
eagc1995
eagc1995 - 9/8/2023, 12:40 AM
@Corruptor - I mean the advantage of What If stories is that it frees them up to do whatever you want.

Like wanna do a story in where Thanos wins Endgame?, you can do that now, wanna have a story where Thor becames a powerhungry overload, you can do that and you don't risk ruining some characters and their motivations.
Corruptor
Corruptor - 11/6/2023, 6:35 PM
@eagc1995 - They already ruined Thanos motivations.
I know what you're saying, but a film sequel could still effectively have Thanos win Endgame, and so on, and so on, and so on, back and forth until the audience dies of boredom. They're already free, because it's fiction (eg. Thor was possesed by Mephisto when he was power hungry, next week he's back to being a fat bro).
Corruptor
Corruptor - 11/6/2023, 6:38 PM
@slickrickdesigns - think those things could all be explained in universe. But it's ok some people like What If? I never did, I remember what if #1 coming out in 1977... what if Spidey was a member of the FF, yes very cool, but why not just do a few issues of the regular FF title where he's a temporary member, would have been better still.
GhostDog
GhostDog - 9/7/2023, 8:13 PM
The only interesting ones:
What if Odin & Hela had faced Wenwu?
What if Avengers had fought Surtur?

A lot of the list sounds fake and boring though. This show sort of wastes the concept of What If a bit. Doesn’t get as creative as it could or should.
