There have been some conflicting reports about what exactly the upcoming second season of Marvel Studios' What If...? will focus on, with brief episode descriptions seemingly giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect.
It was suggested that these weren't the final, complete episode titles and were likely subject to change, and insider Can We Get Some Toast (via Toonado.com) has now shared what appear to be the actual titles of the ten episodes that will make up season 2 of the animated anthology series.
The titles would seem to confirm some previous rumors, such as the Happy Hogan Christmas story and Thor: Ragnarök villain Hela gaining even more power by harnessing the Ten Rings from Shang-Chi. It also looks like the third instalment will feature the debut of Kahhori, the new Native American superhero created specifically for this show.
Marvel previously shared an official breakdown of her episode.
"What If…? asks what would happen if the Tesseract fell to Earth and landed in the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the colonization of America. The Tesseract takes on a new life and a new mythology, transforming a lake into a gateway to the stars and leading Kahhori, a young Mohawk woman, on a quest to discover her power."
Arguably, the most intriguing titles are "What If... Peter Quill Attacked Earth's Mightiest Heroes" (best of luck, Star-Lord), and "What If... The Avengers Assembled in 1602," which has the potential to spotlight very different Variants of some familiar faces.
