The Cape: Cut from 13 Episodes Down to 10

Things are not looking good for The Cape, the highly-hyped NBC superhero series that has not been able to get any ratings traction. Deadline reports that the network is cutting the show's first season order from 13 episodes down to 10.

Deadline is claiming as a result, The Event may be returning to Monday nights beginning on March 7th, which was earlier than anticipated. That show's return will likely be a two-hour episode.

It's a decent show, it just need a little work. But The Event is god awful.

I started watching this show yesterday after recording all the episodes till now and I couldn't get past the first thirty minutes. I tried but that bank scene and the villian Chess just killed it for me.

It's a decent show. I'll keep watching it til they cancel it, which sounds like it's heading that way. :/

i forced myself to go through the 1st episode thinking it will get better. i watched the 2nd episode and didn't even finish it. show is bad so i'm not surprised. such a pity, it could've been good

this is a show that imo has a lot of potential.
while this show has its issues, from the bad acting of the title character and many villains introduced so far, to the special effects of "the cape."

but if you manage to look past that, you may notice that this show has a very intriguing premise. its all about a father trying to get back with his family. there is nothing else but that driving the show.
for this series to really succeed imo, they need to drop the cheeseball villains, add some real SUSPENSE and threat to the hero, and get the cast some major acting lessons.

once they accomplish those tasks, i guarantee you that ratings will go back up.

Green Arrow should would be brilliant. DC has Wonder Woman coming. Green Arrow might work better on the small screen than the big screen. Who knows what they will do. They were talking about a GA movie a couple months back I do believe.

the show is boring,they try to copy the theme of "FEAR" like in batman begins,they did it so cheesy it didnt work

This show is horrible, I watched 2 or 3 episodes and I was done with it. The premise is weak, the plot is repetitive, the characters are lame and the acting is horrible. No big loss when this one gets canceled.

The shows not bad but more of a syfy Chanel show not a major network. What's funny is that NBC is replacing it with another of it's heavily hyped shows that will soon be cancelled cause it sucks. That network should be embarrassed by it's drama programing. At least it's comedies are good.

I really enjoy this show but you can tell its going to get canceled...

but i really hope to god they give us a real closer episode and not leave us Hanging like HEROES...

I doubt it though...

This Show really reminds me of Dark Man mixed with the Punisher....

i like this show hope they keep it up... personally i wish they had of made it more realistic, i mean we don't have hologram stuff all around, things that can predict the future, etc. some may be sort of plausible but it's kinda super far fetched but honestly that's the only thing that bothers me about the series... oh and they need to kill the mom off and let the kid live with the guy she's kinda dating... that would be really good kinda like spiderman with gwen stacy! epic!

A hero with a cape that can grab things from long distance.... wow! Doesn't take much to please some people but this show wasted 3 hours of my life and not any more. Utter cheese and not even a decent superpower on show other than a stretchy cape. Should have been cancelled after the opening credits of the pilot!

Can we get Heroes back with the original writers? I like the Cape, but I couldn't see it lasting too long with the story set up. It could have lasted longer if his family was killed off and he had no way to prove his innocence. It's hard to see how they can make this last more than a season. Plus, the main villain sucks! Chess? Seriously? What's up with the dumb contacts? He doesn't have powers, or even a cool cape with weird properties. For some reason, he gets cat eyes that glow. Corny.

It's a superhero show,it's not supposed to be realistic.I like The Cape,it's pretty enjoyable for me.I actually watch the show instead of picking out all of it's flaws like that one sh*thead on this site does.You know,the one that only knows a few words,for example,"Shit Show".Sound familiar?I thought it would.

maybe it should of had 6 like "the walking dead",then increase for the second season if veiwers hadn't turned off by then.

I like this show. It's been a while since I've seen a superhero show with costumes (Smallville, Heroes, No Ordenary Family) and yeah, there's a big cheese factor but it doesn't bother me. I think, given a chance, it might hit it's stride but that might not get to happen. Also, I do like a lot of the cast, especally Summer Glau & Kieth David!

Never mind. Just pull the plug on this & hopefully marvel/disney took notice incase they ever do the "Moon Knight" thing that was rumored to be in the works awhile back.
