I've been excited for this since they released the first extended trailer for it. I was a little disappointed when they said they were going to alter the costume, but I'm still going to tune in.

And I'm going to tell you why all of you should at least give this show a chance. In a down economy, networks aren't taking nearly as many chances on new or intriguing TV shows. Because of the nature of the genre, this means that sci-fi/fantasy/superhero shows aren't getting greenlit as much as reality shows are. Everyone here needs to understand that we're not going to get a "Lost"-quality show every season. Sometimes we're gonna be stuck with a "No Ordinary Family." But if no one watches the mediocre shows, networks might accidentally pass up the chance to make a truly great show.

If it leads to another "Lost"-caliber show, I will gladly sit through "The Cape," "The Event," and "No Ordinary Family." I'd take mediocre sci-fi over "Real Housewives of Pahrump, Nevada" any day.

I hope this is a good show and doesn't burn out after 2 seasons because of a writers strike like HEROES did or go on too long like Smallville did. THAT show should've ended right after Clark GRADUATED (a 3 year highschool, anyone?) and moved to Metropolis.

This show has potential to be something different and special, which is a good thing in a TV world full of mind-rotting "reality" drivel and shows that recycle the same tired ideas over and over. And if nothing else, hey, it's a superhero show where the hero actually wears a costume and isn't ashamed of being a hero.

The sad thing here though, is that if this show IS any good, it's probably one and done. Networks hate anything that is really unique, clever, and/or intelligent, and are waiting anxiously for any show like that to be anything less than a monster hit so they can move it around on the schedule three or four times and triumphantly say 'this show couldn't find an audience so we're cancelling it' and replace it with more "reality" crap (which is about as realistic as Jerry Springer's show).

Yeah i'm really looking forward to this. It's pretty ambitious. Even DC didn't want to do a full on superhero show with "SMallville." I'm hoping this fairs better than M.A.N.T.I.S.
