Although the third season of Netflix's Emmy-nominated Stranger Things won't premiere until next year, we have our first official promo for the mega-popular sci-fi/horror adventure series in the form of an 80s-style commercial.

The footage teases a new location that'll almost certainly come into play as a major setting for the upcoming season, The Starcourt Mall. In addition, we see that Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) has a job working at an ice-cream store alongside a brand new recurring character named Robin (Maya Hawke).

Though specific plot details remain a mystery for now, we're sure to find out more at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. In the meantime, check out the video below and let us know what new dangers you think the Hawkins gang will be facing next Summer.

Is it me, or does Joe Keery look younger in this ad than he normally does?

I really hope we see Steve become one of Hoppers deputys and hopefully the villians will be Dr.Brenner and some of the other kids he experimented on like Kali. I just want them to give the upside down a rest for a season.

Man, that mall is definitely not making it through the season intact. Is it just me or does the new girl look like a young Winona Ryder?

@MarvelnDCLover - More like Uma Thurman since Maya Hawke is actually Uma Thurman's daughter

@JK2point0 - The only complaint about season 2 was episode 7. Otherwise, it was great.

Great production on this show. The costs to get all the name brands and the old 80's logos for all those products alone is huge. Good job Netflix!
