THE WITCHER: Geralt, Yennefer And Ciri Unite On New Poster Ahead Of Next Month's Premiere

We're now exactly one month away from the premiere episode of The Witcher, and Netflix has begun the countdown with a new poster featuring the show's main protagonists: Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer, and Ciri.

The Witcher is set to premiere exactly a month from today, and Netflix has released a new poster featuring our main protagonist Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) and the two most important people in his life, Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra and Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan).

In the novels and video games upon which the series is based, Yennefer is a powerful sorceress who winds up becoming Geralt's lover - although they develop an on-again-off-again relationship as the story progresses. Ciri, meanwhile, is a fierce warrior in her own right, and an adoptive daughter of sorts to the pair.

Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski's series of fantasy novels - which have since spawned a hugely popular video game franchise - focus on monster hunters known as Witchers who develop supernatural abilities at a young age. The main character is Geralt of Rivia (Cavill), a solitary Witcher who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.

The 8-episode first season will be written by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Daredevil, The Defenders, Umbrella Academy), who will also serve as executive producer and showrunner. Alik Sakharov (House of Cards, Game of Thrones) will helm a total of four episodes, while Alex Garcia Lopez (Luke Cage, Fear The Walking Dead) and Charlotte Brändström (Outlander, Counterpart) will direct two installments each.

Tell us, are you guys looking forward to The Witcher? Sound off in the usual place, and check out some previously released stills below.

I tried playing this game and i just couldn't get into it. I don't really see what made it so popular in the first place.
also in the game didn't the main character carry 2 swords?
