Entertainment Weekly has debuted an awesome new photo from Jon Favreau's upcoming Disney+ series The Mandalorian, featuring the titular bounty hunter, played by Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones), taking on a pair of Trandoshans.

Plot details remain under lock-and-key, but the story is said to follow The Mandalorian, a lone bounty hunter, in the outer reaches of the galaxy as he sets out to collect a particularly difficult prize.

In addition to Pascal, the cast will also feature Gina Carano (Deadpool), Nick Nolte (Warrior), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Rocky), Omid Abtahi (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay), Taika Waititi (Avengers: Endgame), Bill Burr (F is for Family), Mark Boone Junior (Batman Begins), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Natalia Tena (Game of Thrones) and Werner Herzog (Jack Reacher).

The freshman season will feature episodes directed by Dave Filoni (Star Wars Rebels), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope) and Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones).

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian features:
Pedro Pascal as the Mandalorian
Gina Carano as Cara Dune
Nick Nolte in an undisclosed role
Giancarlo Esposito in an undisclosed role
Carl Weathers as Greef Carga
Emily Swallow in an undisclosed role
Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing
Werner Herzog in an undisclosed role
Taika Waititi as the voice of IG-11
Bill Burr in an undisclosed role
Mark Boone Junior in an undisclosed role
Ming-Na Wen in an undisclosed role

Definitely looks like detailed models and not real action... the blurred background (which looks like a flat photo) and highly detailed ground around the action figures seems to give it away. its possible its not, but if its not then they shot it just like they would shoot 12" action figures. fake news.

Too much tilt-shift going on in that photo, hence why it looks like action figures instead of people.

I’m not so sure those are Trandoshans. The eyes are too small, and the snouts wrong.

Also the arms are too short and the hands are wrong.
