Tom Hardy Shot VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Post-Credits Scene On SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Set

Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland has revealed that Tom Hardy visited the set of Venom: Let There Be Carnage to shoot that movie's post-credits scene, but could there be another reason he was there?

There wasn't so much as a single mention of Spider-Man in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, but the mid-credits scene changed that by bringing Eddie Brock into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Seemingly teleported into that world from Sony's Spider-Man Universe by whatever spell Doctor Strange casts in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Venom seemed very interested in tracking down Peter Parker.

He is a Lethal Protector now, of course, so likely wants to take a bite out of the web-slinger for seemingly murdering Mysterio and attacking London with Stark Industries drones.

Whether that clash happens remains to be seen, but Tom Holland dropped a very interesting piece of intel during a recent interview with Cinema Blend. "I was on set, Amy Pascal came over to me and had a conversation about it," he said of his Venom: Let There Be Carnage cameo. "I was very excited. Tom Hardy came to set only a few days later to film his side of the Venom tag."

This could have been a result of the pandemic, but it's definitely interesting that Hardy was on the set of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Why? Well, we can't help but wonder whether the actor shot something else while he was there, potentially for the upcoming Marvel Studios threequel.

It would certainly make sense to pick up with some Venom in some way here, especially if Eddie is going to be a permanent addition to the MCU in time for Venom 3 or Spider-Man 4. There's been no sign of the anti-hero in the movie's trailers, but if he is the sixth member of that villainous team, then it's not like Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios would necessarily ruin the surprise in advance.

Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.

Ok, personal theory. What we know is that venom apparently knowing mcu Spiderman by face, despite doc ock not recognizing him since this Spiderman isn't played by Tobey maguire. And we know the villains are here and ripped from their realities before being killed by their respective Spiderman.

So my theory is venom made contact with the sonyverse Spiderman (played by Tom holland) before meeting up with Eddie. Had his timeline remained intact, Eddie and venom probably would've gone to new York to fight Spiderman as their lethal protector selves, only to be killed by Spiderman. Hence why he's effected by the spell and came to the mcu.

This could also be a clue as to how the movie resolves, with Holland Spiderman moving his existence in with the sonyverse Spiderman. That way he can be in the Sony movies but still opens the door for him to come back to the mcu for crossovers.

@Origame - Sounds intriguing.

And as I've always said, "If it wasn't for theories, there wouldn't be any."

And you can quote me on that.

@Origame - Whilst he doesn't know the MCU Spider-Man personally, he's already aware of another Spider-Man due to his "hive knowledge across across universes". That Spider-Man being Toby Maguire's whom killed him in the past.

@Origame - maybe it all ends in a composite universe where the previous movies events happened to Tom instead of Tobey and Andrew, and he fought almost all the villains but they never died and still roam around

@Origame - in the postcredit Venom is talking about some kind of simbiote hive mind across the.multiverse so it seems Hardy's Venom has some kind of genetic memory of SM3 Venom and others that fought Spiderverse.

But, was Venom there?

Sorry. I was desperate to post something and couldn't think of anything else that hasn't already been stated.

Once again Sony just ruining another spiderman attempt by trying to merge and might I add allowing marvel to cheat on a different universe established characters. Why couldn’t Sony create their own universe with their own version of spiderman and allow the MCU have their version and spiderman and his villains. Then sometime down the line do into the spider verse by merging the two. I would actually have preferred to see MCU version of gobbie and doc Ock rather than pre established villains. They may as well grab the foXmen and call them the MCU version of the xmen as well.
