Aside from what the title has revealed, we really don't know much about what to expect from Venom: Let There Be Carnage. With a new filmmaker at the helm, the hope among fans is that it will be an improvement over 2018's Venom, especially now Eddie Brock is squaring off with Cletus Kasady.
Now, World Boxing News has revealed another noteworthy casting addition to the sequel. A representative for boxer-turned-actor Larry "War Machine" Olubamiwo tells the site, "Larry has recently finished filming Venom 2, which will be released later this year."
Unfortunately, there's no word on who Olubamiwo is playing. Since starting his acting career, he's starred in BBC drama The Capture, Almost Never, and upcoming project The Middle Man.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is definitely his biggest role to date, though.
When we recently spoke to director Andy Serkis, there wasn't much he could tell us about Venom: Let There Be Carnage, but he did say, "I’ve had a ball working on that film." He added, "I’m super excited about it. I’s not something I can particularly talk about right now because we’re saving it for when everybody can go and enjoy it in the cinema."
Now that the movie has been officially dated for September 17th, we'll hopefully have more to share soon. After all, a teaser of some sort has to be just ready and waiting to go by now...
