VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Star Tom Hardy Asks Fans Not To Share Spoilers From The Marvel Sequel

With more Venom: Let There Be Carnage fan screenings set to take place in the coming days, star Tom Hardy has taken to Instagram to ask fans - on behalf of Venom himself - not to share any spoilers online!

Sony Pictures held a fan screening for Venom: Let There Be Carnage a couple of weeks ago, and it didn't take at all long for spoilers to find their way online. The studio is even using many of those Twitter reactions to promote the sequel, which is a little surprising when most critics have already seen it.

Now, with just days to go before the movie arrives in U.S. theaters, more special screenings for fans are set to take place in North America. As a result, spoilers will surely become damn near impossible to avoid, but at least Thursday is fast approaching (in the UK, however, Venom: Let There Be Carnage won't be released until October 15 thanks to No Time to Die).

Tom Hardy is clearly thinking about plot details doing the rounds on social media, because the Eddie Brock actor has taken to Instagram to share a piece of artwork asking fans not to ruin anything.

There's been a lot of chatter online about Venom: Let There Be Carnage's post-credits scene, of course, though the sequence wasn't actually screened for many critics in advance. A likely reason was to avoid director Andy Serkis and the movie's cast being asked about it in interviews, but expect detailed descriptions to start doing the rounds as more fans get to watch the Venom follow-up.

"Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters," reads a brief synopsis that was released on the movie's website (where you can now purchase tickets for the movie). "Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage."

As noted, Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. It's set to be released in theaters on October 1, 2021.

Spoilers:

Tom Hardy uses yet another weird accent.
The cgi is cheap, unconvincing grey blobs.
Sony continues to shill ancillary characters as leads, tarnishing their reputations, giving you all potatoes and no meat.
The after credits stinger teases the Aunt May cinematic universe.

End spoilers

The only spoiler worth sharing is the supposed credits scene, lol. They want it going around.

It’s almost like having a fan screening weeks before release is a bad idea… seriously it’s like Sony just doesn’t understand making movies and that the internet exists. Every other videogame publisher and film production company had figured out how embargoes and NDA’s work and it’s like Sony somehow think it’s 1995 and fans won’t immediately say anything they want online

@SirDuckAlot - I’m actually enjoying some of the Sony stuff more than the Disney controlled content Marvel are putting out. The more recent Marvel stuff seems to be aimed at younger audiences, family entertainment, that sort of thing.
