Animated Halo Movie in the Fall of 2010

i think this could be very cool. i don't usually like anime, but when its done right, its unmatched as far as animation goes. i hope they handle this like Batman Gotham Knight, stay true to the character, and just use anime "style" animation. i would hate to see this be like those shit marvel anime's they're making.

An Anime version of Halo might actually work... Anime is great for mech/robotech stuff (Robotech, Gundam, Ghost In The Shell).

If it's anything like the anime clip of Iron Man that they showed at Comic Con it'll rock.

In the end, I think it's more of a ploy by Microsoft and Bungie to give their stuff a kick-start in Japan/over seas.

i'm pissed that odst is only an expansion and only has about 6 hours of playtime in the story. thats super weak. just make halo 4 already

well, i'n not getting the game bucuz i don't have a 360, but a friend pre-ordred it so i will go over there and play it.but yeah you are right that it's only a expansion but we have halo reach that is coming out next fall to, so we have that to get happy about

I like the idea of a Halo anime. Played the first part on PC ages ago and remember loving it. Still enjoy mecha-related anime till this day, so really it's a win:win as far as I can see. They just need a great plot, and make sure that somehow the chief never gets around to unmasking himself.

ahh i hate hola the first 2 games were awesome but after the 3rd alienated a hell of a lot of ppl who dnt have xbox live and gave them a half finishd single player mode they shud slap bungie. but sayin that the film cud b ace

It's in the same vein as The AniMatrix and Gotham Knights - a few separate stories each showing different points of view of characters and mythos known and unknown to fans, the idea being to extend your own concept of the series.

Like the X-Box 360, Halo is way overated IMO. Having played all three games, none of them were anything better than any other FPS I've played - there was definitely NO stand out moments in them when compared to other great FPS's like Bioshock, Killzone 2 or even Battlefield Bad Company!

hey, the game is NOT lame. i usually don't play first-person shooters, but this game has great storyline and great characters. you can't beat that.

@josh: how is the 360 overrated? from all u said, is that ur a ps3 buff and a 360 hater. bad company sucks compared to any halo. and halo has been so famous becuz the 1st halo revolutionized what console fps' were like and perfected it, which every other game on any console has based there controls off halo basically. thats y halos famous. and it doesnt suck, ur just a 360 hater. i love the 360 and the ps3.

for all im concerned the 360 is not overrated when it has such a good online system as xbox live which incorporated netflix and lots of other stuff, but the 360 has so many high rated exclusives also: halo 3, mass effect, gears of war 1 and 2, project gotham racing 2 and 3, forza motorsports, fable 2, shadow complex, halo wars, too human and even games that havent come out yet, halo reach, mass effect 2, fable 3, even project natal. but im not gunna lie, the ps3 has alot of good exclusives also, uncharted 1 and 2, god of war 3 wich looks awesome, metal gear solid, ext.

o and this looks awsome, and u guys forgot to mention that each story is being directed by a famous anime director.

joob234: im not a 360-hater, i just dont like the system! i live in the UK and when i take my PS3 online i get thousands of free music videos, an internet browser, Playstation HOME, a brilliant store, online gaming as well as a movie download service (and i know in the US they can download TV shows as well) all for FREE!!! the 360 seems to get the most attention as being the best system but quite honestly the PS3 has better graphics and incorporated blu-ray from the start to which Microsoft responded by releasing an add on HD-DVD player that ended up failing within months costing 360 owners money for an app that they only released film for, for a few months! And though you have a point that the first Halo was a big deal with the evolution of FPS games but since then they've been nothing more than mediocre IMO in both story, characters and gameplay.

josh @ i completely agree im a an xbox man my self the first 2 games were pretty dam good but wen 3 came out i though it was a complete rip off if finished the story mode at a m8s within 24 hrs on the hardest setting an have just completed it on my 360 i cant play online cus i dnt have the bloody maps so i can only play like 3 levels witch is stupid and bungie banned me 2day (online multiplayer) cus i said call of duty was a better game in every single way .. i didnt say it as nice as that and i had no idea that the guy i was talkin 2 worked 4 bungie if i had of known .. i still wuda said it lmao ..... aswell i think ps online is better than 360 live an thats comeing from a hardcore xboxer
