Rocksteady announced that Batman: Arkham Knight isn't only the name of the game; it's the name of a villain as well. So who is this mysterious figure? Well, first off Geoff Johns and RockSteady created the character and stated that he is brand new. Created from scratch, built from the ground up. There are a plethora of theories, a lot of them consist of the character being someone already established. Such as Hush, Or Jason Todd.

That, however, seems unlikely. Like I've said before this character is new. It would be a waste to just make it someone we already know. Alright so here is my theory..........

ITS JOKERS SON!

Hear me out. The Joker and Harley Quinn had a child, presumably a boy. This revelation was sort of an Easter egg in Arkham city. There was a lot of emphasis put into this revelation by the creators, for example, in the credits we hear Harley Quinn singing a La La By and joker as well. Rocksteady wouldn't just move on without giving this kid some sort of role. What better role than a Villain role! It makes sense too because he was born there, his father died there, and he was presumably conceived there. His whole life revolves around Arkham Asylum, so it makes sense he is the hero of Arkham( or villain).

Yes, you're probably wondering how he got so old? Well there is an explanation for that. Cadmus labs, one of our fellow CBMers found a Easter egg in Harley Quinn's Revenge which was a Cadmus labs poster. So Harley wants revenge on batman right? So what better way to do that then create a Killing machine out of your very own son. This is where Cadmus labs comes into play. Cadmus labs accelerates the babies growth, making him into a grown man in peak condition. But what does Cadmus get out of this? That's what I can't figure out so if you have any suggestions let me know below!

However, I do have alternatives to this situation. Maybe Cadmus approaches Quinn cause they want to create their own batman. Or......

Hugo Strange comes into play. Let's say Hugo Strange is revived by the Lazarus pit, he could work with Quinn too create Arkham Knight out of her child. The game does after all say all the villains team up.

So that's my theory! This is my first editorial guys, so let me know if you liked it. If you have any suggestions let me know below. Sound out your thoughts below as well!!

Just looking at the image, you can tell a lot about him. His exaggeratedly arched back as well as his slim waist with heavy muscle definition in his chest and arms is an art style to indicate a very young character, probably between 16 and 23.

For reference, look at Batman's poses, he's drawn like a full adult. Straight back posture, thick build through his midsection. Hugo Strange would be similar to this.

I don't see why Rocksteady would throw a curve ball like that. If they said the kid was false then he's false.

I guess he's the hybrid, or instead of batman a blood they use jokers body?

@Soto I think it's someone new for sure. It's probably just some random character they decided to make, I hope it's a Bruce/ joker hybrid though

I find it funny people bring up the pregnancy test easter egg in the game when it was debunked in the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC. In that we see a cradle containing Scarface (the puppet) painted as the Joker. All around the bed there are pregnancy tests that all say negative. No baby. Not to mention this game takes place 1 year later. Having a full grown joker son would be weird.

It's going to be someone related to Arkham Asylum's founder. Why else would he call himself Arkham Knight? They're going to connect these games storyline-wise eventually.

Think about it. He looks just Bruce now. Planning to destroy his life.

@whysoserious why would he be Arkham Knight though? He has no idea batman is Bruce. For all we know HUSH might be used as a decoy of sorts. He pretends to be Bruce Wayne and destroy his life. Arkham knight wants to assassinate Bruce. So batman has to stop him from killing hush
