Hello dyldawg 3 here I just finished the main story mode of Batman Arkham city and would like to give my opinion on the game. The game takes place in Arkham city a section of Gotham fenced of and flied with every batman villain every created, which is pretty frekin cool

The story

The story of the game written by veteran batman writer and Harley quiz creator Paul dini is perhaps the most remarkable thing about the game it utilizes almost every single element of the batman mythos and still manages to tell intriguing emotional story. As good as the story is it was a bit predictable for hardcore bat fans and I have heard complaints from complaints from players it was hard to understand for them never the less the story moves you thru the gameplay and keeps you entertained the post Nolan batman movies should take note on how to tell a great batman story .I won’t spoil it but the very last scene of game is one of the best single moments in batman history

Game Design

The game map of Arkham city is not only very large but also very well designed. Unlike on like some other games cities were the buildings are identical and seem to be built for purpose standing on top of ( spider man games I’m looking at you!) every building is unique and you can get a sense of history of the city form all its structures. The zones at which the main villains set up base such as the grim museum of the penguin to the steel mill turned carnival of joker and the underground steam punk style city of Ra's al Ghul are all well laid out and interesting and fit the villains who occupies them well . the designs of the cachters themselves retain just enough of the classic deigns but update them so the fresh and new for example instead of a monocle the penguin has a smashed bottle in his eye.

Game play

Instead of just rehashing the gameplay from Batman: Arkham Asylum Rocksteady expands and improves on itgiving you move gadgets and combat moves . One of the best improvements is the integration of gadgets such as explosive gel and baterangs into combat. The mix up of the beat em up and stealth style predator mode style of taking out thug’s prevents repetitiveness. there are plenty of side missions and riddler challenges to solve. Overall the game play gives you a sense of what it like to be bat man

Voice acting

Kevin Conroy voices batman. Mark Hamill voices joker. 'Nuff Said!

If you haven’t allredy you need to play this game I give it five batarangs out of a five

2 months ago called and asked you to meet back up with them :-), anyways, good review. The building and overall exterior design was amazing for the very reason you stated. the hole bottle in the penguins eye instead of a monocle i don't know if i like, but the character designs are really awesome.
