VIDEO GAMES: Will We See Characters From The WATCHMEN Universe In INJUSTICE 2?
Many fans were unhappy when the events of Rebirth brought the characters of Watchmen into the DC Universe, but it sounds like we'll be able to pit Batman against Rorschach in Injustice 2...
Like or not (and if you're Alan Moore, it will definitely be "not"), the characters of Watchmen are now part of the DC Universe. It's probably going to be at least another year or two before we see the likes of Batman and Superman comes face to face with Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan, but based on a Twitter poll from Netherrealm Studios' Creative Director Ed Boon, they might just show up in Injustice 2!
This wouldn't mark the video game debut of Watchmen characters (they had their own episodic title back in 2009), but it will be the first time that they've been mashed up with heroes and villains from the DC Universe. Their involvement obviously hasn't been confirmed, but based on the results of the poll below, you have to believe that Boon and Netherrealm will ultimately try to make this happen.
A Watchmen based DLC pack would no doubt be a big seller, so we'll hopefully get more details soon. Which characters would you guys pit against each other in Injustice 2? Let us know in the usual place.
