Hey Everyone and Welcome to What Did I Miss, where today I am super excited to break down the brand-new trailer for the Mortal Kombat movie, which is set to be released in theatres and on HBO MAX on April 16th, 2021.
I have to say that I had high hopes for this trailer and was blown away with what we were shown in the over two-minute sneak peek into the film. As I mentioned in my prior video on the movie, in which I broke down the main characters and will list in the description here if you would like to see it, director Simon McQuoid and producer James Wan promised that we would see many of the characters infamous finishing maneuvers and the red band trailer certainly showed us some. There were also a couple characters that popped up that were not yet confirmed as well as some hints toward the different paths these characters will take in the movie. I especially liked that it looks like we are going to get origin stories for at least half of the characters and I have always been fascinated by the lore of the game and the different clans and realms. Also, it looks like the character designs are very intricate and faithful to the game traditions while looking still looking updated for the movie.
OK, so let’s get ready for Round 1 and talk about the new trailer for Mortal Kombat.
