Legend Of Chun Li Review

Okay, i know nobody had very high expectations for this so it should come as no surprise that its bad. What is a surprise (at least to me) is just HOW bad it is.

When i heard this was coming out i was exited because i have always loved the Street Fighter characters and thought a new series of movies about them would be pretty cool. Then i saw the trailer. I thought ok, a few of the characters dont look right..and Chris Klein is in it..but could still be decent. How wrong i was!

To say this is a bad movie just doesnt cut it. Its Awful, its horrendous, its tripe. The "plot" follows a young Chun Li growing up while learning wooshu from her adoring daddy. When he is captured by the head of Shadaloo, Bison (No first names in this movie!) She continues her training until she is old enough to find out what happened to him. She seeks out a dude named Gen who teaches her fancy firebally stuff and together they try to take down Bison.

Theres a bit more to it but i cant even bring myself to bother to write it. The performances in this movie are ABYSMAL..with the exception of Kristin Kreuk who is just wooden..but may hve come out better with a decent script. Ah the script. Whoever wrote it should only be hung up by ther toes and whipped with barbed wire Passion Of The Christ style. Its a joke. Michael C Duncan is shit..which is a surprise because i usually like him. But the worst offender is the afformentioned Chris Klein. He is [frick]in desperate. How he is cast in anything remains a mystery to me. Some actors get by on a lack of acting skills with charm and a certain amount of charisma (Keanu Reeves) but this bastard has non..i couldnt even look at him sometimes.

Is there anything good about it? The guy playing Bison does a good Irish accent for a change! Thats about it. oh and theres a nod to a sequel with Ryu and the actual tournament..but after this abomonation i doubt anyone will give a shit.
