Mother was a box office flop and while the studio attempted to cash in on the fact people hated Darren Aronofsky's latest effort, IT destroyed the movie at the box office and is unlikely to deliver Jennifer Lawrence another Oscar. Between this and Passengers, her luck really hasn't been that great lately so here's hoping X-Men: Dark Phoenix is quite a bit better and gives Mystique a memorable role.
Regardless, one thing that doesn't disappoint is this new Elle photoshoot featuring Lawrence. Unfortunately, there aren't any quotes in the magazine in regards to her return as that fan-favourite Marvel character but we can expect to hear more about that in the coming weeks and months.
A lot of fans were actually unhappy about Mystique coming back for X-Men: Dark Phoenix due to the fact she had such a large role in the previous three instalments. We have no idea whether or not she'll take a backseat role to the younger heroes in the Simon Kinberg helmed release but here's hoping! What do you guys think?
