You may have heard the recent rumor that Taylor Swift is set to suit-up as Dazzler in Deadpool 3, but reports linking the pop megastar to the role of the music-loving mutant go back quite a bit further.
Alison Blaire actually made her big-screen debut in a (very) brief cameo in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. The Orville actress Halston Sage ended up playing the character, but Swift was said to be "considering" the role before a scheduling conflict forced her to pass.
Swift is still said to be interested in playing Dazzler, though, and there have been conflicting reports (though nothing too solid) that she'll get the opportunity to appear as Miss Blaire in Shawn Levy's Deadpool threequel.

Swift has a few acting roles under her belt, and a lot of fans would likely agree that, on paper at least, she seems like an inspired choice to play the Disco Queen. Unfortunately, the Deadpool 3 rumor only seemed to gain traction from a video compilation of online speculation, so we wouldn't count on her serenading the Merc With a Mouth in his upcoming MCU debut.
