X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Has Officially Wrapped Production; Check Out A New Behind-The-Scenes Image

Earlier tonight we found out that Deadpool 2 had wrapped production, and now we have word that another upcoming installment in 20th Century Fox's ongoing X-franchise has also completed principal photography.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix director Simon Kinberg shared the image below to his Instagram account, confirming that cameras have stopped rolling. The pic is a BTS shot from Xavier's School, and although a few characters are visible the background, they're too out of focus to be able to determine their identities.

Many fans were worried when first-time director Kinberg signed on to helm this project, but filming certainly seems to have gone without a hitch. Hopefully an official look at the movie will be released soon so we can get a better idea of what to expect.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to hit theaters November 2, 2018.

That's a wrap. #darkphoenix #xmenmovies 11.2.18

@RickyleeSTF - Eh, it started filming in the first week of July. 3 1/2 months ain't that bad.

I have to say...after watching it a few time on cable, X-Men Apocalypse has kind of grown on me!

@Forthas - I thought it was pretty good..not great, but definitely better than many gave it credit for.

@RorMachine - Aside from the look of Apocalypse...and that I think they short changed Magneto (didn't like his attempt to be normal story all that much) I thought overall it was pretty good...like you said nothing great, but as good or better than most CBM. A bit underrated!

@Forthas - Archangel was a TOTAL waste though. I'll never get over what they did to him. I'm just hoping he isn't dead for proper strorytelling.

@TheRationalNerd - I agree! There were a lot of characters to juggle. His story was interesting but I think every "death" is left ambiguous.

@Forthas - I don't like how he had zero consequences for his actions by the end of the movie. The guy played a key role in nearly destroying the world and by the end, Charles says "c'ya old friend."

It's different with Storm, since she was young and was easier to influence, but this isn't the first time Magneto has almost [frick]ed everything to pieces.
