We recently got confirmation that Jessica Chastain would be heading to Montreal soon to film her X-Men: Dark Phoenix scenes, and now we have details on some new cast additions, as well as a couple of returning characters.

According to That Hashtag Show, relative newcomer Kota Eberhardt has joined the production as "Luna", who could turn out to be any number of characters - though speculation points to either Hellfire Club member Selene, or Layla Miller. In addition, Scott Sheperd (Bridge of Spies, Jason Bourne) is also said to have been cast in the role of Jean Grey's father.

Plus, it sounds like Days of Future Past characters Toad and Ink will be returning. Does this add credence to the rumor that Magneto will be forming his Brotherhood of Mutants in Dark Phoenix?

So the guy who wrote the shitty adaptation of the Dark Phoenix Saga the first time around is now writing and directing.

And we expect different results?

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - although it's against my instincts, let's be positive about this. Maybe he's learned from his mistakes?

X-Men Apocalypse is the worst x-men movie by Bryan Singer, I hope Kinberg will direct a better movie

So there's gonna be apparently X-Men, Brotherhood, Hellfire Club and Shi'ar empire as factions in this movie. Here's hoping it wont get cramped.

Oh, and please use those comic accurate costumes from the ending scene of Apocalypse.

It's kind of sad how uninterested I am in the core X-Men franchise. I never really grew attached to any of the First Class version of characters. That and DoFP were good enough films, and Magneto remains great, but still... just never connected to anyone enough to care if I saw more of them or not.
